Don't forget about all of the other incarnations of SUSPIRIA you can spend your money on!:

PS: it is a "hartbox" (or hard box), as the germans call it. They seem to have two sizes: grobe hartbox (roughly translated to "rough hardbox", which are taller) and klien hartbox (which are smaller, usually DVD height)

Yes, that's Mediabook Cover N (!!). I'm sure soon '84 will reach the end of the line with Cover Z

Anyone who ordered from DTM have the charge drop off, im wondering if they just do a pre auth on the order and dont actually take the money until it ships.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking, but I usually buy from DTM and they only charge my credit card when they ship the items.

Just to nitpick, that is "große hartbox" not "grobe".

The German letter ß is a double-s. So it says "grosse hartbox", which means "large/ big hardbox" as opposed to "klein" which means small.

Sorry, I'll show myself out.

I really wish Amazon.de was carrying this - I'd save about $50 in shipping and VAT!

I saw your message regarding BeyondMedia before you deleted it. For outside of Europe, you need to contact them (link at the bottom of their page):

Quote:
Versandkosten restliche Welt

Die Versandkosten für die restliche Welt (Kontinente außerhalb Europas) sind beim Kundendienst zu erfragen.
Einfuhrumsatzsteuern oder Zollgebühren sind durch den Besteller zu tragen!

Shipping costs remaining world

The shipping costs for the rest of the world (continents outside Europe) are to be requested at the customer service.
Import turnover taxes or tariff charges shall be borne by the Purchaser!
Or maybe you already received a response?

Yes, I received a response/price total from them, which is why I deleted my post. I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and pay the insane $40 shipping charge, or take my chances that Diabolik will be able to secure me a copy? (Jesse said he couldn't speculate on availability at the moment.)

$40 shipping is huge. I must say though, I have the Don't Torture a Duckling set, and it is quite heavy. If you want to see if it's reasonable, do you want me to weigh it? I imagine that they'll both be similar in weight.

Thanks, but I'm sure it is hefty as well! If Amazon.de carried this, I'd be paying $3.50 for shipping (and would get a sizable VAT removed to boot.) DTM wants $30 for shipping, but they have a higher base-price than Beyond, so the two companies end up charging the same total of 127 Euros. Neither of them removes VAT.

As a point of comparison, does anyone remember what Diabolik charged for Duckling?

Yeah, you'd be paying peanuts compared to the others. I just had a look at how much the shipping was for me for Duckling at Amazon: €6.33 compared to a simple blu which costs me €3.23.

With BeyondMedia it's €14.99 for this title.

As you say, It's a shame Amazon don't have this title.

Is it confirmed that amazon won't sell it?

They have, for example, the metal pack of the previous release
https://www.amazon.de/Suspiria-Metal...dp/B01C3TAARI/
Also from '84

Maybe this new LE will also show up eventually.
And I'm pretty sure a cheaper version (Media book or something like that) will follow, as it was the case with Duckling.
