Luckily one of my local stores that sells used title had a copy of this & I picked it up ASAP & it arrived 2 days later.

They re-took it down a little before noon ET today. Now that they've done this twice, maybe that means it's gone for good.

Out of curiosity, since I purchased the trilogy pack without the blu-rays (these releases in The Netherlands just plainly suck, but at least they're decently cheap), is there an option to get the new cut of 3 in another way? I'm certainly interested in it.

The $20 pricing is tempting. Do own it in iTunes 4K that I haven't watched yet (that I got on a good deal for), but would like to pick up the blu-ray for a good price. Think it'll go lower then this? I can wait it out.

Does the normal Blu-Ray that comes with these have new transfers or is it the old disc from previous releases?

Spider-Man 3 has a great cover here:

I think it's the old transfer. I'll check when I get home.

EDIT: It's a new transfer on the regular Blu

Rewatched these the last few days. Spider-Man 2 and 3 look great in 4K!

Still think Spider-Man 3 mostly works despite all the haters. Also surprised its CGI is pretty much on par with the stuff we get in comic book movies nowadays. Completely forgot about the Editor's Cut. Sampled some of the changes. Some decent additions/alterations (the Sandman visiting his daughter scene, restructuring the Harry's revenge plotline, removing the Bernard scene), but I prefer the Danny Elfman themes in there over the Christopher Young music.

I thought SM3 was a shocker (no pun intended). 300m and that is the movie you deliver? Can't blame Raimi, though. Venom was forced on him. Had the movie just been about the Sandman and GG2 I think the movie would have been far more coherent and also no dancing down the street and in clubs. WTF was 'THAT' all about?

1 and 3 have the newer Mi4K transfers, albeit re-encoded. 2 is the original BD transfer with both cuts.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already. But I'm curious if it's a typo or not on the bluray.com pages. As every region aside from the us set has the Spiderman 3 if disc stated as being on a bd-66 whereas the us set is a bd-100. Even the Canadian set is listed as having it on a bd-66. Just curious if it's all correct or not cuz I want the best disc possible. But hate the digibook with a passion for this and every other release that does that as they wreck the discs either in transit or over time. And would much rather get the UK sets due to nice cases. But again wanting the best quality on disc. Thanks so much if anyone knows.

I genuinely like the movie a lot except for the Sandman/Uncle Ben stuff. Actually Sandman in general is very underdeveloped and meh. Take him out though and put in a bit more development elsewhere and I think it would be great. Still, it's good as it is I think. Better than the two that came after it certainly, by miles.

The endless whining about the very Raimi-esque humor baffles me.

I think if a character is adapted the filmmaker should attempt to honor the source material. If that isn't possible then for Pete's sake BETTER the source material otherwise what's the point? What Raimi did to Venom was a disgrace and I don't even like the character of Venom.

Are these going to get individual releases? Hate the digibook with the sleeves.

I still think it's a bad movie overall, but I appreciate it a lot more now than I did before. It works a lot better as a relationship drama than a superhero movie. The Harry/Peter/MJ stuff is so much better than the crap with Sandman and Venom, and I've always liked the humor in this movie. It's probably the funniest of the trilogy, and the "Cool" Peter montage is easily one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a movie.

Should have been more specific... will they get individual releases in the US? Try to avoid importing as much as possible.

I have never understood this mentality.
