My bank account is in desperate need of assistance if Best Buy comes through with some awesome looking Steelbooks. 50% of me really wants them to and the other 50% says please don't do this to my wallet lol.

They do have value but you'll be better off selling them as a big lot instead of individually. You could probably sell the slipcover collection by itself for at least $100 bucks if we're taking a shot in the dark. Then sell the standard Blu-rays for $150-ish. I would sell mine this way if I was certain that Best Buy was doing appealing Steelbooks for all the 4K releases. I've been selling individually (Avengers/Age of Ultron so far) just to help pay for the 4K releases and make it easier on my wallet.

Oh, I’m right there with you. It’s ok, but it’s not great. Some bland cinematography and overall just meh. That airport fight scene is uninspired. Still grabbing this though.

It’s not great but it has one of my favorite climaxes, hence my previous post.

Which shouldn't be mistaken as a negative opinion towards Civil War as I love the film; it's just IMAX didn't work for it.

The only MCU films that deserve to have IMAX scenes included on the 4K release are Doctor Strange and both Guardians films. Those utilize IMAX format the best.
That first sentence, i couldn't agree more with that, 200%!!

The shifting AR in Civil War just doesn't work at all. Its specially bad because it's only present in the airport scene and the cgi there wasn't top notch to begin with. The more it expands, the more apparent it becomes that the scene itself is just a bunch of green screens and tennis balls and that the actors aren't even there simultaneously.

I also didn't like the IMAX scenes in Dr Strange but they make more sense than a Captain America movie having IMAX, specially cuz the movie is so desaturated and so grounded.

Now, the Guardians, yes, absolutely yes!
The best use of shifting AR in marvel movies, both of them. It works well because of the "out-of-this world" visuals.

I thought that the airport scene in Civil War was one of the greatest superhero fight scenes I've ever seen in a movie.

Can't remember exactly where I read it but there was a review basically saying that the airport fight is a comic book splash page come to life, and I think that sums it up perfectly. Loved it.

Personally I think the UHD of Civil War should have expanded ratio while Doctor Strange should not (since CW released in 2D IMAX while Doc Strange's IMAX showings were 3D only), but given history, likely both would be in scope.

Doctor Strange is the only one I'd kinda like to get the IMAX AR for because of how visually immersive it is compared to the rest of the MCU, but scope is still fine.

Just like how Infinity War perfectly adapts the storytelling structure of a crossover event.

Funny enough, scope is the only aspect ratio I haven't seen Doctor Strange in (all 3 times I've seen it in 3D as well).

I saw it in initial release in Real D where the masking was incorrectly set to flat, saw it on the 3D Blu, and saw it with the Marvel 10th anniversary IMAX festival (where the IMAX screen has a roughly 2.1 aspect ratio).

Plus you can't split up a box set to put them in chronological MCU order unless they're individual releases boxed together

Ever since I started watching 4K discs, I wanted to see what Winter Soldier and Civil War would look like with HDR improving the color and contrast. Those are my two favorite MCU movies, but I'm not crazy about the Russos gray "realistic" aesthetic. I know UHD won't change the cinematography, but it sure as hell can make it more layered and visually pleasing. Can't wait, give it to me now...
