This movie is worth it for Bale's performance alone. People get caught up the whole weight loss thing, but he really did an excellent job.

This was the one HD DVD I really wanted but never got around to picking up. I will definitely be purchasing this on BD.

Thanks for this great news and the heads up!

It's actually amazing he went to the lengths he did for the movie, a devoted actor.

I got my Directors Cut of 1408 on Blu-Ray from there, a very good site!

Plus The Machinist is Region Free!

My only problem would be that the DVD had some behind the scenes footage, on xploited they don't say if theres any extras.

I understand this is a release with just the movie, but why do they do that?

no idea not sleeping actually makes you gain weight.

I wish, now that DK was such a huge hit, that they'll release this and Harsh Times in the US.

Just watched this German import tonight. The movie is a huge mindf*ck.

Technically speaking, the picture quality is outstanding, not an ounce of grain (I suspected DNR, but it just looked like the print looked this way to start with). Can't really comment on the audio as I don't have a HD decoding sound system, but from what I heard, it sounded very good. The dialogue's a bit hard to follow but that might be because I couldn't turn the volume up as much as I wanted. I'm also used to watching movies with subs (even if I don't need them), just to make sure I get everything the characters say.

No bonus features (except trailers for weird B-movies).

I'll be watching this over the weekend, glad to hear it's a good movie with good P.Q.
