Default Amazon DOTD: Imagine Dragons Evolve MP3 album $5 bucks

Not a bad deal for a new album, this was just released on 6/23/17 .
I already bought mine and ripped a CD for back-up. I look forward to hearing it for the first time.

BTW I was introduced to the Imagine Dragons a year or 2 ago, I forget
but I got Night Visions for free from Google Play Music and became a fan
instantly so I went out and bought Smoke and Mirrors.
So yeah Evolve is just their 3rd album.

They truly are fantastic, and what's great about them is they are so versatile compared to the majority of bands and artists of today. They can do the hard rock stuff and switch to pop and r&b like nothing. In addition to their three albums, they have an EP album and have quite a few songs for movies. If you haven't gotten these, they are worth tracking down:

Ready, Aim, Fire from Iron Man 3
Levitate from Passengers
Sucker for Pain (with so many other artists) from Suicide Squad
Battle Cry and All For You from Transformers: Age of Extinction
Who We Are from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Not Today from Me Before You
Lost Cause from Frankenweenie

Warriors and Monster were both done for computer game promotions with the former being used in a few TV spots for the Divergent movies and Wonder Woman. Those two songs are amazing, too.

A friend of mine bought tickets for the two of us to see them in Minneapolis this October. I'm super excited.

I was actually rather disappointed in this album, and I completely disagree with them being versatile. I feel like a lot of their songs sound like recycled older hits they've had, they never really expand on their music. To each their own though, and I never knew they had a track on the Frankenweenie soundtrack, so thanks for that!

The only song that stood out on 'Evolve' was "Whatever It Takes" IMO.

I did see them live a few years ago here in Phoenix, they are very good live, have fun at the show!

I gotta ~kinda agree here^, Evolve absolutely does sound pretty old even though its a new album! After a few listens its almost like I have already heard this album before I bought it!
Still though, I enjoy them enough and overall I still think they are reasonably newer sounding than most bands that I listen to today and I would love to see them live so thanks for that last piece!^

......Still though, I think their first 2 albums were terrific , so hopefully this is just a bump in the road for them and they can expand more in the ~future.

Barring Evolve, I stand by my initial sentiments. Like you, I was kinda disappointed by this album. It's taken a few listens for me to really enjoy it. Believer has been the very best song by far to come out of this album with Whatever It Takes close behind.

I regret passing on seeing the Smoke + Mirrors concert. That album is my favorite of theirs. I have the concert in my iTunes, but it's just not the same...

Its the cheapest i have seen from a major artist. Well they did it to win the race to billboard 200 debut.
