![]() ![]() Those of you who follow Star Wars Soundtrack are aware that Sony released a 2016 remaster of the original trilogy soundtracks. NOTE: these are not as "complete" as OSTs that are already out there so definitely keep a hold on those if you have them or if you want them, but these remasters definitely sound better for the cues they cover. See details and reviews here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019DDE6U4 For those with FREEGAL available thru your local library, you can now download the Original Trilogy Remasters that were released earlier this year. This is a YMMV deal, because not every Local Library in the USA support Freegal but a large amount do, if you are unsure just go to your local libraries website, and take a look, you will need a card though so if you don't have one might push you to go make one! For those who do not know what FREEGAL is short version: its a website where you can legally download lots of music for free. Limit of 5 a week (your library may vary on number of tracks per week) Long watch this (watch it all to learn about other free library services for movies and books!) : [Show spoiler] New Hope: http://www.freegalmusic.com/artists/...30739/c29ueQ== Empire Strikes Back: http://www.freegalmusic.com/artists/...30747/c29ueQ== Return of the Jedi: http://www.freegalmusic.com/artists/...30736/c29ueQ== I have downloaded a new hope my self and can confirm that yes these are the 2016 remasters. Quality: 256 Kbps CBR Mp3s Also you can get the more filled out osts on this website for free as well just search star wars Hope this helps! ![]() Last edited by bfett9; 03-27-2016 at 11:41 PM. |

My library system showed up on the site but when I tried to login I got a message that says "Access to the service is limited. Please see a library staff member for assistance" so I guess it doesn't actually work for me. This is pretty cool though that something like this is offered.

I use their services mainly to get Overdrive ebooks and audiobooks, but when I found out about freegal I was happy too, since I was able to start flushing out my Digital collection, granted it ends up being roughly 1 CD a month, but I think worth it ![]() |

I went ahead and tracked down higher-res versions of the cover art. Freegal covert art is never the right size (175x175 or 200x200), you can downsize these all yourself to 500x500 (standard size) or keep them giant high-res.
Enjoy [Show spoiler]
