Just wondering what the story is with all of these simulators popping up lately. You have these farming simulators, a goat simulator, and then on Steam they have a construction simulator, a bus simulator, and a woodcutting simulator. Or my personal favorite: I am Bread, a freakin' bread simulator!!! There are probably 50-100 others. People must play them, otherwise why would they have them? Not something I would waste my time with as I prefer a nice story-driven RPG. Just one man's opinion.

I agree I don't see the appeal of it at all I play games to get away from the daily grind and the last thing I want to do is simulate doing something else.

Maybe I'm just being old school when i say; I'd prefer to save the world from something or someone with just my trusty weapon of choice. As opposed to pretending I'm a farmer, surgeon, goat, bread or god knows what.

About the closest I've come is Stardew Valley. On the surface it is basically a farming simulator, but in reality it is much more. They took the Harvest Moon games and improved upon them in just about every way. It is essentially a life simulator. You start off building a farm, but then you become part of a community, make friends, get married etc. Easily well over 100 hours. I turn to Stardew Valley when I've had enough of leveling up in jRPGs for a few days. If you haven't played it, I can't recommend it highly enough. A thoroughly great game. They have it on PS4 and Steam.
