Also be wary of what you are buying as some titles are digital or CD only, so you may get multiple listings for the same item. They sell items from Citadel Records, who are digital only**, and I almost bought "The Puppet Masters" in my excitement after wanting this album for so long thinking it was a CD. Basically, if the listing has: No border = CD only Yellow border = Digital only Blue border = CD and Digital copy Edit: Some Citadel releases now have CD versions as well as digital. Yeah, I think that's the one thing that always gives me trepidation when I order. Of all the orders I've put in the last 5 or 6 years I hadn't had an issue until the last order I put in where they sent me 1 wrong CD and shorted me another. It took a while for them to fix the issues, but at the same time I was quite lackadaisical about staying on top of them. So after years of hearing people dog them out on FSM I got to experience it for myself. On the bright side I did get to keep that extra CD (which was a 2-CD set and a really good one at that).
This was direct through their site only. I've never had a problem with their ebay page and have put in a lot more orders through there, but you usually don't get the heavy discounts on the ebay page as you do on their website. |

Placed an order mid July. It took till mid august before I got a ship notice. Then when it did arrive, it was missing 1 of the CDs. This was on top of an order I placed in February of last year that was part download/part CD. They never sent the CD. I got the download from it, so I let it slide. But when I saw him interacting in a thread on FSM, where someone else was having a problem with their order, I chimed in. Ford responded in the thread and suggested I email him with the order #, etc. I did- and then never heard back. After this last instance, I was so fed up I called their phone # and got Ford on the line. He apologized profusely, and pledged to get both CDs out to me the next day. He did. They arrived quickly and with a couple gratis discs as well. So yeah, I'd been hearing about all the problems people had on FSM for several years and finally got my taste of it. Despite all that, I probably will order a couple more things from the sale. I think their downloads- sale or not- are a great vlaue. And the product is generally well produced where it counts. The service can be frustrating. As long as you know that going in... |

Ah, I am a glutton for pain. Received only one of the eight titles I ordered despite numerous automated emails suggesting everything shipped. Why do I do these things to myself...

Yeah, they screwed me too. At the 30-day mark I lodged a complaint with Paypal having not even received even a shipping notice, nor a response to my inquiry about the order. That got them to ship me most of my order. Now we're in arbitration over the last few items

The nightmare continues. So after only getting one of my CDs I email them at the end of October and got a response less than an hour later! They shipped some more CDs from my order in a large box. Pretty much every CD had numerous cracks from the lack of padding. They still forgot to ship one CD, sent a dulicate of the first CD and a few I didn’t even order. Now my emails go unanswered. My first and last order I’m afraid. Sometimes what you read on the internet is TRUE

I'm sorry that happened to you.
In my case, PP ended up returning 100% of my money (over $200) even though I specifically told them the dispute was over 4 discs and gave them the individual prices and total for the 4 discs. I emailed BSX and told them I'd pay for what I received if they gave me a link to their PP account, or however would be best for them, but they never got back with me. Sometimes ignoring emails can hurt them for a change. ![]() Does anybody want me to continue posting their sales? I don't mind, but I don't want to feel bad every time someone has an issue with them. |

The weird thing is PP does cutoff retailers who have enough complaints, so I don't understand how BSX has been getting away with their poor practices for so long and keeping their status. Maybe it's a percentage thing and they do just enough right to stay on the golden side.

Finally received my last item from my early September order at the end of December. Sadly, it took opening a Paypal case to get a response. I probably wouldn’t try them again directly unless it was a crazy discount like 60% or more off.
