I think the price gives it away.

No reckoning needed. You know they're bootlegs as has been documented in this thread page after page

Any item listed from Sri Lanka has been a bootleg for years.

Default Help!

I bought this 3D disc only. But, it doesn't seem to have English audio, it seems to only be in Asian audio.

I know that when I put in most Disney blu rays it asks the country, this does not.

Did I buy a cheap fake, or is there a way to get the English audio?

Thanks

THANK YOU! I would have never gotten that far from page 1.

I just tried it. It worked. It's our Saturday night feature.

Yes, it i a fake but I have a Panasonic 820 Blu Ray and you can select the english audio through the "in movie" menu rather than the main Blu Ray Japanese menu.

The good thing for me is, I asked for a refund and got it. So, I get to see the movie for free. But, it is a bootleg, it's black or dark purple rather then silver.

I kept having that problem with Lucifer Season 2 and one of them I paid close to $30 for.

This isn't the place to be recommending buying bootlegs burned on cheap BD-R discs.

If you bought the 3D disc only, you bought a cheap fake.

A bootleg would play like any real 3D Blu Ray but it would lack stuff like a 2D disc and any extras etc.

If it's a straight copy yes, but sometimes they are compressed further or presented in side-by-side format. You're often paying for something someone has downloaded from the Internet for free and then burnt onto the cheapest BD-R disc that they could buy.

True, this one was especially excruciating due to just how expensive that Japanese release was/ is to import. A very difficult pill to swallow for 3D fans when one Blu Ray costs so much to obtain.

Nobody will deny that it is painfully expensive, but if you consider how many films Disney have failed to release on 3D Blu-ray at all, as a 3D fan/collector the money you save by not buying the 2D versions of those will pay for the Japanese release of Ralph Breaks The Internet several times over.

True, I don't think I've bought any 2D blu rays of 3D Disney movies. Something like this though I'm just not in a rush to watch. I've had my 3D disc for a couple of months now and still not watched it.

I also have a bunch of animated 3D titles sitting around that I'm saving for when I'm in the mood, but with this one I had such a bad experience watching the flat version that I had to watch the 3D as soon as I could, so that my memory of the film would be a happy one.

Sometimes a bootleg is compressed further from the original so that they can be burned on a 25 GB BD-R instead of using a costlier 50 GB BD-R.

It was expensive but as a 3D addict I feel better having the disc than not having it

Needing to pay so much for a popular, new 3D release or it being limited to Japan is more the exception than the rule.
