There appear to be 2 official Spanish releases of this film, Llamentol in 2015 and Divia in 2018. As far as I can see, only the Llametol release has both the original Frencg dialogue and English subtitles options. Also the best cover art of any release. Does anyone know about the transfer quality?

The Llamentol is a Bootleg and definitely NOT official. It's not even a pressed disc but a BD-R.

Can't say much about the Divisa edition, but it sports the Studio Canal logo so it may well be a legit, licensed disc - Alphaville is included in Studio Canal-released Godard-box sets in the UK, Germany and France. I believe all of these feature English subs.

Thanks for that. Pity, because that cover art (featured even here) is so nice. For a surreal film like this, cover art is important.

I am almost tempted to order the disc, throw away the BD-R and place the official disc there.

The Divisa release is legit and fully licensed, Divisa and Studio Canal have a deal where Studio Canal provides the master and any extras and Divisa creates the discs, packages and distributes.

I don't know about this film in particular but there is a common trait with all the Divisa/Studio Canal releases they only have Spanish subtitles and if you try and watch the film in English or whatever the original language is, French in the case of Alphaville, you have to watch it with forced Spanish subtitles.

Thanks people. I gave up the idea of the Llamentol bootleg BD-R and ordered the UK spec Godard collection. It arrived today.
