Picked up Finding Nemo Steelbook. Compared it to the case that was released years ago as a pre-order at best buy a few years ago. That case is a lot better than this one... the new steelbook will go back tomorrow.

Something must have messed up in BB’s computer system. I usually get notifications the steelbooks are ready for pickup sometime before midnight the day before. I got those notifications for both Aladdins and John Wick, but none for the Pixar movies.

This morning around 7:30am I checked my preorders and the release date for the Pixar steelbooks said Sept. 17. A couple of hours later it was back to Sept. 10 release and I finally got my notification for pickup by 1pm.

FYI: My store JUST got all these Pixar steels in late yesterday. We received them and had them out on the floor today. I assume stores that do not have them out, nor have any in the system, did not receive their box yet. It's probably sitting in the back, either waiting to go out, or waiting to still be received, but store SHOULD have them. I have rarely ever seen a BIG release like this show up hours before the next day it goes out. Rare, but it can happen.

I ordered months ago when they first popped up for order.

Now I reordered as shipping to home, but Brave is not available. To complicate matters I’m in the middle of a 2-week cruise and won’t be home until this Monday. Can’t go store shopping from 2k miles away.

Anyone, especially Tyrok know if Brave is generally available in their local store or what the situation is with this steelbook???
Well, well, patient citizens, my story continues to unfold. 4 of my cancelled Pixar steelbooks are ready for pickup, the other 4 including Brave are still cancelled. Meanwhile my online delivery order of everything but Brave says it shipped and will be delivered on Friday.

I just keep hoping I can get a new order in for Brave. Or my cancelled items will miraculously get fulfilled for in-store pickup.

EDIT: Brave was available to order for in-store pick 45 min after my above post.
Ordered and ready to pickup, unfortunately can’t get there ‘til Monday, they should be holding them until Monday, per the dates on the pickup instructions. :fingerscrossed:

I picked up all 8 plus both Aladdins today. My Bestbuy in Cary, NC had atleast 10 of each, but then again, they get alot of every steelbook. They even still have Capt. Marvel and Cars 3 steels.

My Best Buy had at least 10 or more of each one when I got there around 6:30pm. I think these will be in stock for a while like the Toy Story ones that are still available.

Hallowed be thy name !

My BB had none of these. I actually went there but apparently after talking to one of my pals he said they didnt even have the steelbook out, they only had the regular slips ones.

I was wondering why the price tags said 29.99.. oopss. Hopefully they put them out tomorrow.

All pre-orders picked up successfully today at my local BB. Plus original & new Aladdin SteelBooks. Huge hit to the wallet. The store had tons of all of them at 6:30pm.

Plus they had some in the media section which is now tucked in the far corner of the store which means shipping may be the only option pushed on us sometime soon if the section keep shrinking and moving away from the entrance.

Anybody else kind of ticked off that every title has a debossed title EXCEPT Brave? They made 11 of these Pixar steels so far (12 if you count Incredibles), and 10(11) of them have debossing, so why not Brave, too? Minor issue, I know, but just silly.

I was thinking that too! I got all the Pixar Steels, minus the 2 Cars movies, and they all had them. I almost thought I'd gotten a defective copy or something. It's a minor nit, but enough to make my OCD act up.

Was anyone impressed by the slips more than the steelbooks on some of these once you saw them in person?

I think the slip is better-looking for:

Brave
Good Dinosaur
Ratatouille

Still bought the Ratatouille steelbook anyways.

I was, but mostly because I think this style of art Pixar has put on their steelbooks is garbage. They did me a massive favor because now I can save $ big time by getting it all through DMC instead.

It is normal that a BB doesn't have these steelbooks? The one I go to doesn't even have a space for steelbooks. Just regular slipcover UHD. Online it still lists for this location as "not available"

I'm going to have to go exchange my Steelbook for Inside Out today. When opening all of the Steelbooks to inspect them last night (all of the Pixar releases from yesterday plus both versions of Aladdin), that was the only one that I found a dent on that I feel the need to exchange it out for.

Most were pretty much perfect. There are a couple of very minor imperfections on my Finding Dory Steelbook, but nothing that I feel the need to exchange it over.

At least there is only one that I need to exchange and not several of them.

Yeah my Inside Out has a small ding on the bottom. Iíll live with because it sits on the shelf anyways.

Also Rat has a couple of blue spots on the orange. They are tiny also. Just didnít feel like messing with the return yesterday as the return line was busy.

I may just live with it ha.
