Will I actually do it is another issue. I've still got at least 10 games I own that I still havn't finished.

SOS battles are legitimately making me hate this game. They need to patch it so that help can only appear once per battle, and that's it.

Yeah they got pretty annoying when I was just trying to keep a Pokemon's health low so that I could capture it but then more and more idiots kept coming lol

Surprisingly I beat the campaign on Saturday ~ I really enjoyed it! Haven't enjoyed a Pokemon game this much since probably Gold/Silver, honestly. It was great having a real, truly 3D Pokemon adventure. I also filled up my Pokedex a lot more than I expected (I think 47%), so I might try to complete that in the months to come once I finish up with FFXV

Got in a loop in the first dungeon with the rats. My main had a super effective move that took 80% health on one hit. For 16 rounds you can bet your ass their second action was SOS.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/201..._million_sales

Quote:
Nintendo recently sent out a statement that Pokémon Sun and Moon have collectively sold 4.5 million units, and in so doing have secured the new record of being the fastest Nintendo games to ever do so. Moreover, they were the second and third best-selling games across any platform for the month. The 3DS saw a big bump as a result, making this last quarter the most profitable for software sales ever for the platform, with 7.3 million in total, marking a seven month streak of higher sales compared to the same period last year.
Impressive that this last quarter was the most profitable (software) ever for the handheld.

Makes you wonder why they are trying to push the switch as a home console instead of pushing it as the most powerful handheld ever and taking advantage of the huge install base in their handheld market. What was the last Nintendo home console game to pass 4 million let alone so fast.

if the switch was a handheld, would they still be able to charge $60 for games?

Yeah personally I would have been fine with a kick-ass portable that could be cabled or dongled to the tv if wanted that was compatible with 3DS/DS carts.

X and Y were the last to hold the fastest 4 million crown according to this.

Before Sun and Moon, Pokémon X and Y were Nintendo’s fastest sellers of all-time, moving more than 4 million units worldwide in their first weekend alone.

New Vita games launch at $40-50 usually don't they? It's been a while since I got a full price Vita game.

I don't think they care what they charge as we can see by their current pricing strategy for the switch

14.69 million units sold as of the end of December! That's just 2 months worth of sales, outstanding numbers right there. It makes it the 3rd biggest selling 3DS game ever. And it should easily pass Mario Kart 7s 14.82 million. It should have the legs to pass X&Ys 16.06 million too.

Yup, amazing numbers. Nintendo has to have one in the pipeline for Switch. The question is, make it for Switch and 3DS or play your hand now and force people to buy into the Switch and make it just for that?

I feel like "stars" will be Switch exclusive, same world just in HD with improved features and tweaked scenario much like Crystal was a GBC only title.

I'm convinced that this is representative of the Switch build.
