Ignore the amazon estimated delivery times, they have been way off for a while now, i ordered something the other day and it came 4 days before they said it would and arrived via prime even though i chose free delivery.

I've always presumed it's a psychological thing. They tell you it's expected on the 21st so when it turns up on the 18th you're supposed think "Ooh, it arrived early. Thanks Amazon UK!" One of the many reasons I don't use them.

Any chance of seeing a trailer or clip that would help get a feel of these movies?

Here ya go - though this is not from the blu-ray, so the quality won't be an indicator.

As much as I support TW, these two flicks are just not my cup of tea. But I'm sure there is a crowd or these movies.

The trailer for Cleopatra reminds me of that other animated film Belladonna of Sadness, which I got on Cinelicious. The screenshots and trailer looked amazing, and the film is a visual treat but I'm afraid I found it uninvolving and gave up somewhere halfway.

That's the third film in this Animerama 'trilogy'.

Belladonna is the 3rd part of the trilogy, but actually an "unofficial" part of the series and very different than the first two. Belladonna is very much an experimental and "arthouse" film, while the first two are more "entertainment" and much easier and more fun to watch

been in negotiations for literally a year for them

The other Kitanos are from a different company from where we bought the others, and apparently another UK company are offering way more money than we could ever afford, so I'd assume they will get released in the UK at some point.

If you want to get a super great deal on pre-ordering the ANIMERAMA series, then order now from ZAVVI who have the set for just 20.99!
https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/animer.../11727139.html

This is 2 never before released on bluray films with loads of new and exclusive extras in collectable packaging, so it's a pretty damn good deal tbh!!!

Sad to hear you won't be able to do any others, but hope the company who does get hold of them will treat them well - I'm going to guess either Arrow or Eureka are after these kinds of titles. Can't think of any other labels that would give them a go, in fact (though possibly Second Sight, who did release some of them on DVD).

I asked TWF about Takeshi's a while ago, they said Artificial Eye have the rights; maybe they got the others as well...

I'm set for Kitano since the Japanese releases came out anyways, so I'm just happy to see TWF focusing on never-released-on-blu-ray titles.

Nah that's probably because AE already released Takeshi's on DVD, and might still have the rights. They also released Dolls and TWF managed to release that. I imagine the only Kitano title AE might hang on to is Zatoichi.

The three Kitano titles most likely being sought after are Violent Cop, Boiling Point and Sonatine. I imagine Arrow would be interested in doing a triple box set Arrow Video release (with eventual reissues), especially as they would fit perfectly together. Maybe even Brother if anyone can get FilmFour on board (though might have to release it separately).
