Default [3DS]Senran Kagura Burst

Quote:
As both Marvelous AQL and Xseed have hinted to Siliconera in the past, Senran Kagura Burst is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in North America as a download title.

As detailed in our past reports on the game, Senran Kagura Burst features two games in one—an upgraded version of the original Senran Kagura (titled Skirting Shadows) with gameplay improvements and its story sequel, Senran Kagura Burst (titled Crimson Girls).

Each game allows you to take control of five female ninjas, each with their own special abilities. In between the game’s brawler-like stages, the story is told through a visual novel format. As the ninjas take damage, their clothing will get damaged (and eventually destroyed), too, which is one of the series’ more infamous features.

XSEED say that Senran Kagura Burst will feature Japanese voices with English subtitles. The game is slated for release in North America via the Nintendo eShop in fall 2013. Surprisingly, the game is rated “T” by the ESRB.

Don’t worry, Europe—you’re getting Senran Kagura Burst, too. Marvelous AQL and Zen United announced this morning that they will jointly handle publishing duties of the Nintendo 3DS brawler in Europe.

That isn’t all, though. While Senran Kagura Burst will be a download-only title in North America, in Europe it will see both a physical retail and download release. The game will be available in Europe in Q1 2014.

As previously detailed, Senran Kagura Burst actually consists of two games—the original Senran Kagura story, titled Skirting Shadows, featuring the Hanzo Academy ninjas; and its sequel, Crimson Girls, starring the Hebijo Academy ninjas.

Ninja gal brawler Senran Kagura Burst doesn’t have a concrete release date in North America yet, but XSEED say on their Facebook page that they plan to release the game around November.

In reply to a fan asking about the game and how much space it will occupy (Senran Kagura is a download title in the U.S.), XSEED shared: “November-ish on the release, very big on the size of the game (but less than 2GB).”

Senran Kagura Burst contains two games in one—Skirting Shadows, which is the original game, and its sequel, The Crimson Girls. XSEED have not yet announced a price for the game.

Released officially in the eShop for digital purchase only on 11/14. Picked mine up the same day. Played with it for a bit, and like it a lot. Reminds me kind of like TMNT for the SNES a bit. Haha. Only thing that's kinda lame is the 3D is off in battle, and only comes on when clothes are torn off, or you go power up. Still, a fun game, for sure. Worth the $29.99.
