Default DC Comics May 2013 Solicitations

Two links this time, we broke them down:

DC Universe titles & trade collections

Vertigo, DC Kids & collectibles

--For all of us collectors of the Green Lantern comic franchise, it sucks to read that ALL the titles in May (GL, GLC, Red Lanterns, New Guardians) feature the last issue by their respective creative teams.

--it is also really depressing that "Vertigo" consists of just three ongoing series now...and I collect two of'em.

--the DC Comics Bombshells statues of Supergirl and Wonder Woman are incredible! But...out of my price range.

--still hyped for the new Johns & Finch JLA book, but how many times can he (or DC in general) try and revive the Secret Society of Super-Villains? They NEVER stay together after a single storyline.

--Hawkman and Firestorm are over yet again. They're the DC equivalent of Marvel's Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer; characters who just NEVER last in a regular series. Sword of Sorcery is gone too, which is a shame...but between Lopresti not getting the full issues done and an overall lack of people jumping on board, this one didn't have much of a chance. Shame. It had a Game of Thrones feel Team 7, The Ravagers and Deathstroke are cancelled too.

--though I got ALL the Before Watchmen books, their hardcover offerings this month seem much more interesting.

I've gotta go and check out the Marvel solicits for May, as unfortunately my site isn't privy to them. But it looks like slots are opening in my monthly pull list...so I need to see what is potentially comin' on out.

Anything catch your eye in the May's books?
