Sweet. SL BD 8cm are 15GB right? You can definitely see why that would be more attractive than having an HDD at the capacities currently available (60/80GB). Especially if you do a LOT of recording every day.

A pack of 10 or so RE blow away the HDD capacity.

An alternative would be to have an outboard BD burner so you could use archive to 25/50GB discs.
