Norway Pathfinder (1987) - Any chance for a blu-ray?

I've always been a fan of this cool little film. Not too many in the US have heard of it. Do you think that there is enough interest in Pathfinder (Ofelaš, Veiviseren) that it will ever be released on blu-ray?

It was released on Blu-ray in Norway a couple of months ago. The disc includes English subtitles for the film and a decent amount of extras. It is locked to region B, though. Given the age/budget, the PQ/AQ is fairly good.

I could link to a number of Norwegian webstores that carry it (here's one), unfortunately I don't know of any that ship internationally.

The case looks like this (comes with a slipcover):

I ended up buying from nordicdvd. Pretty expensive, but not a lot of options on this one.

Lol.

In Norway we have to receive all merchandise with value over 36$ marked as gifts or else we have to pay 25% + 21$ in customs. Its madness.

Yes,I wish the 200kr limit was a little bit higher........even 300 would help a lot in many cases.

At least your limit is $36. Ours is $12! And our "service charge" is almost $25.

Yes, the European Union stipulates a higher limit. No, the Danish authorities don't give a shit.

It's like all the limits in EU, countries can have higher limits but choose not to implement them.

In the UK it is £15 limit and then minimum £8 service charge depending upon the mail company who deliver your parcel. At least Amazon.com allow you to pre pay the VAT so you avoid the service charge. They are supposed to index up the limit by price inflation but have not done so for over 20 years. In fact our UK limit was actually cut from £18 a few years back, as the Government listened to all the complaints from high street retailers who claimed a lower limit would reduce imports and boost their sales. As everyone with any sense said before the change, all it did was boost the sales of Amazon.

Consider how screwed we are in Europe compared to Australia where they have a limit of A$1,000 I believe, so around $750.

I think it's preposterous that private citizens have to deal with any of this crap.

I did eventually get mine. Not a bad film but a little underwhelming. Will have to watch it again this winter.
