Not too surprised with the delay given the lack of info.

Wonder if Yoshi was delayed too.

Day 1 for me. I love Fire Emblem.

I'm pre-ordering anything I have even a remote interest in right now due to my GCU expiring in September.

Disappointing that we'll have to wait until next spring but I am looking forward to the game. Love me some Fire Emblem.

I am INCREDIBLY excited for this game. I've grown a very recent love for Fire Emblem so I will be buying this on DAY ONE.

This is one of the games that I bought a Switch for.

I love the Fire Emblem series and still have my copies of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.

Looks good. I've never played an FE before, but I briefly played Heroes when that came out, and got me interested in the series. The character designs seem a little less ridiculous here, so that's good.

Got my order in with $15 in certificates plus GCU applied. Just hoping they pack it right. They crushed my Xenoblade 2 LE and I had to find a replecement box on eBay.

We have one location in town and it takes about 45 minutes to get there. Most of that is spent once you’re off the highway “driving” 10 blocks on our main shopping drag. I made the change. Guess I’ll get food and plan my iPhone battery replacement that day as well.

That blows; Iím lucky in that our Target and Best Buy are on the same strip as Walmart, Office Depot, etc. and I work about 2 miles from all of them so I swing by on my lunch break to pick up all of my orders.

Few tidbits from the developers:
https://nintendoeverything.com/fire-...miibo-support/

Quote:
On the weapon triangle…

Yokota: The weapon triangle system hasn’t disappeared, it’s just less visible. Will we see it again in future games is difficult to say since we’re working on themes and game mechanics first before thinking about importing features in it. What we wanted to do in Three Houses is to give player freedom in tutoring their students, so that the player can give their favorites students whatever they want in weapons and skills. It helps the player identify with the team they’re raising.

On how the Switch’s hardware allowed for concepts that would have been impossible for the 3DS…

Kasukihara: Thanks to the improved technical capabilities and screen resolution over the Nintendo 3DS, we could add more visual elements. For example, the use of battalions that support each unit – this was not possible beforehand. That said, there is another perhaps surprising side effect from switching to Nintendo Switch. As there’s a full HD screen, it was nice that we could show more text, like putting the names of each combatant on the screen. In addition, as we have more space for text, we could add pages that delve into the backstories of the characters, to enrich the game’s lore.

On the amount of time to complete the game…

Kasukihara: To complete the game with just one of the three houses, it took me 80 hours. I did not skip the dialogue or cutscenes, of course. So if you want to do the three paths, it can take you more than 200 hours.
80 hours for one play through?

I have this on preorder and am pretty proud I’ve finished every Switch game I’ve bought so far (with the exception of Torna). I’m debating cancelling this because I’ll never find the time to play it as I also have the Mana Collection coming up soon as well.

The back half of the year is packed for me with Ultimate Alliance 3, this, Zelda, Astral Chain, Luigi’s Mansion and Pokemon. I like to total up my playtime every few months or after a big game; after all of those I will be over 850 hours in on my Switch.

Wow. Definitely passing on this for now. Iím fairly lukewarm on the series as is and Iím in the middle of other stuff Iíll struggle to finish before the onslaught of games I want to play this fall starts hitting in September.

Hell of a value for fans though with the three long paths!
