I don’t really understand what makes a film a catalogue film. Confession over.
So, I will take the liberty of listing the titles of television and film that I most wish for on HDR 4K.
1. A Tale of Two Sisters
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer the television series
3. Carousel
4. Planet Terror/Deathproof
5. The Sixth Sense
2nd #5. The Others

I couldnít agree more! The BDís for R & Hís musicals are shabbily done, except for Oklahoma in Todd A-O. That one looks very good.

The first two, mainly because they have never even appeared on BD.

1. Round Midnight
2. Unbearable Lightness of Being
3. Godfather
4. Godfather 2
5. Marathon Man

Some movies I wanted badly in 4K have been announced - even if the wait is killing me - and some other already got 4K masters on bd (The thing, The good the bad the ugly) so I hope it's a matter of time before they get a proper UHD release...
...that said, I'll just stick to movies with older transfers and no 4K announcement on sight:

1) Unbreakable
I found myself in love with this movie after last year's rewatch. Although I always liked it, I didn't remember how brilliant it actually was. Never bought the mediocre blu-ray, and since I already have Split and Glass in 4K, this would be an instant buy for me. But Disney...

2) Memento
Like someone posted earlier, this one missing in Nolan's 4K collection was a shock. Its latest remaster is already 10 years old, so it's definitely time to upgrade this cult.

3) The Secret of NIMH
One of the best (animated) movies ever, this truly needs a remaster because the blu-ray doesn't do justice to this beauty. After seeing how good The Land Before Time remaster looks, I can't help but wondering how this would turn out in UHD.

4) Back to the Future saga
But Universal...

5) The Terminator
After being let down by T2, this (and Aliens) gotta be a hell of a consolation price. Please, don't screw it, Jim.

Honorable mentions:

The Blues Brothers
Lethal Weapon saga
Edward Scissorhands
Brazil
Seven / Fight club
Rope / Rear window
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Star Wars Saga
Remaining Pixar movies
Remaining Game of Thrones seasons (2-7)
Beauty and the Beast; live action
Shrek/Ice Age movies (but doubt that will happen)
Pirates of the Caribbean (the remaining ones)

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were also on that list (just like Jungle Book live action), but they've since been announced!

+ 1 for that movie. I'd love that in 4k

I don't understand what a catalogue film either. So my top 5 would be:

1. The Fall (2006)
2. Night of the Hunter (1955)
3. Paris, Texas (1985)
4. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
5. The Handmaiden (2016)

My bad, I must have been mistaken by some clickbait articles... just rumors for now.

BUT, Rogue One is coming to Disney+ in UHD

1) The RIDDICK films (my bd of Chronicles rotted years ago, don’t want to rebuy the day before they announce a UHD but I just might have to, I’m the weirdo who still wants Vin and Twohy to make the “parts 2&3” they had in mind for the trilogy back in ‘04)
2) The STAR TREK films, TMP through Nemesis, with both versions of TMP, WoK and TUC
3) STAR WARS I-VI theatrical versions
4) LIFEFORCE (I actually ordered the reissue of the 2013 release only days before the 4k-remastered steelbook was announced, and knowing that both versions in the steelbook are from new 4k scans gives me reason enough to wait it out. Has Shout ramped up their UHD output since the format launched, other than just those imax docs?)
5) A boring, oft-repeated wish, but THE ABYSS and TRUE LIES.

You're not the only one I know. I've wanted a sequel to the Chronicles of Riddick ever since seeing the movie in theaters. It's my favorite of the 3 Riddick movies and I prefer them to his Fast/Furious movies.

I'll have a go at this too! My # 1&2 would be the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings Series, but since they are both heavily rumored or expected for 2020, I will not include them:

1) LA Confidential
2) Lincoln
3) Friday the 13th Series (my favorite horror series)
4) Kingdom of Heaven (extended directors cut)
5) Jaws

Since I really have a top 10 and they are in no particular order here are my remaining 5:

6) Christmas Vacation
7) The Terminator
8) Land Before Time
9) Back to the Future
10) A Christmas Story
