Default Beauty and the Beast 4K UHD (1991)

Haven't seen a thread about it so I decided to open one.
Now that The Lion King came out on 4K and The Little Mermaid soon comes out on 4K as well, do you think Beauty and the Beast might be on 4K soon?
I really hope they use the 3D master and not the 2D master with the mistake at the end of 'Something There', but I think it depends on whether they put both versions on the 4K disc or just the theatrical.
What do you think?

I'll pass on all of those. Lion King was my real want. I wouldn't mind Finding Nemo and Inside Out though.

Now that Aladdin will be released in 4K. This really needs to happen.

Agreed. It’s a bit silly the best of the Disney renaissance, if not the best Disney film overall, will be the last one to be release of the big 4. It better be worth it.

I never even opened my copy of the Best Buy steelbook of this, maybe it's time to sell that off.

If this is coming out, they really need to fix the lighting and restore the original colour palette.

Disney needs to stop re-releasing the same sh-t over and over again until they can release stuff on 4K or Blu-ray that only has a dvd release. It's not like Beauty and the Beast is so amzeballs anyway.

It costs them pennies to “re-release” titles, so there’s no reason a business would (or should) stop trying to make profit.

I'd buy dozens of Beauty and the Beast rereleases over a single Blu-ray edition of The Black Cauldron. Always.

Nah. In a caged death match, The Black Cauldron would kill Beauty and the Beast before it could take a breath.

And there's no reason releasing something that isn't on 4K or Blu-ray can't make them a profit either. Stop, drop, and roll dude.

Well then, enjoy your DVD. I'll enjoy the 4K when it eventually comes.

The Black Cauldron is like THE most underrated animated Disney film and unlike the recent bout of live action remakes, this is one title that’s screaming for one. TBC would make such an awesome live action film.

I love Beauty and the Beast as well but I would kill for a proper blu-ray of TBC. There’s a high quality 1080p version floating around online but they really need to issue this on blu-ray.

2D animation in 4K makes no sense.

Actually, 2D animation in 4K makes more sense than 3DCG animation in 4K.
AKIRA is one 4K release I am very excited for.

The 3D version of this is epic. I doubt this will top that.

With all the revival films announcements, I'm expecting Beauty and the Beast to be released by November 26th. Hope I'm not wrong.
