Default The Goonies 4K (1985)

This movie is an 80s classic that really should see a 4K transfer. Next year is the films 35th anniversary so time may tell. Id still love to see this movie in 4K.

It's a WB catalogue title coming to UHD... which means it'll just port over the old extras and add nothing else.

Anyway, it's only a matter of time before this comes out, as it recently had a 4K re-release in UK cinemas.

I just had this hard drive delivered for shows this weekend. Contains a 4K DCP struck in February of this year.

Ashamed to say I don't think I've ever seen it and I love and was born in the 80s.

It’s stuff like this that gets me excited about being back into physical media again after going all digital and selling off all my my Blu-ray’s and cds years ago.

Can’t wait. Will get the steelbook!

Just came back from the 4K screening, the house was packed!

Pretty great upgrade compared to the 2008 Blu-ray

The DCP reminded me a lot of the recent Batman '89 remaster in terms of colors.

Some people may say "Teal" but it looks like 35mm film instead of high quality video. After 11 years it's no surprise we got a significant upgrade...

This will come out on UHD BD and even remastered BD next year for the 35th Anniversary, no question about it
