Just one month ago I got a call that there were some unidentified 35mm reels of 3-D film at a storage facility on the East Coast. I quickly made arrangements to go there and upon inspection was absolutely floored to find there were two reels (30 minutes) of a lost 3-D film!

I am negotiating now with the copyright holder to include some of this footage in the set.

Wow, 32% funded in just 11 hours. Thank you everyone for your interest and support!
Now let me think. Which classic 3-D film has been considered lost?

I'm hoping the rights owner will allow you to include both reels in
their entirety. What condition is its condition in?

The footage is in excellent condition and the few problems can be cleaned up digitally.

We’ve got about 65 minutes available on the 3D Blu-ray for bonus content and I’ve got WAY more than that amount of rare material in hand now. I wouldn’t want to devote nearly half of it to this incomplete feature as rare as it might be.

My game plan is to include a segment of the feature as a bit of a tease and eventually present the entire surviving footage on a future release.

There is always the possibility the rest of the feature will turn up in this film storage facility which looks like it belongs at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark so never give up hope!

Is that bonus content to the feature film or bonus content to the actual 3D Rarities segments? How long is the actual 3D segments excluding the full film and bonus stuff please? Obviously, I mean roughly!

3-D Rarities II will run close to 150 minutes (the same as volume 1) which includes the feature and 65 minutes of shorts plus a few image galleries.

Thanks. So the feature is the meat of the package.

Yes and having not been seen in 3-D since the mid-50's and having never been seen in discrete polarized 3D, it truly is a rarity!

The stereo cinematography is wonderful, you won't be disappointed.

In fact, the 3-D on EL CORAZON is better (with less technical mistakes) than the 3-D photography on our current restoration project, PARASITE!

That doesn't surprise me. Isn't PARASITE single-strip?

I've got his manual and his inventory of hardware. I think the manual is missing page 1.

Great! Are you doing Parasite with Kino or will it be a region free offering?

Put me down for a c-note. Missed out on September storm and that turned out great. Hope you include less flat spots this time though

Thank you very much for your support.

If a film has flat shots, there is nothing we can do about it. That is due to a camera malfunction on set and has been a part of the film since day one.

Was only kidding. Clearly you can't restore what was never there before

Looking forward to seeing this one.

Maybe you could dabble a bit in the conversion business.

Wow! I hate to consider all the backlog that must be facing Greg and crew. Let's just hope he doesn't have a cardiovascular event!(LOL)

I'm betting that that kind of "dabbling" in small bits would cost more than the whole rest of a restoration.
