Default Blockbuster Black Friday - 99c Movies

Sale dates: Nov 20 - 26.

Some things listed but what stands out most is the "99c New Movies To Buy." Here is to hoping there are decent titles, and blus at that!

I think it is completely safe to say the 99 cent movies will NOT be blu's.

As such, this should be moved to DVD deals or retitled to just "Blockbuster BF Week Deals". The thread title is going to mislead a lot of people.

I called my BBV yesterday and she said the BF deals would be for DVDs, not BDs.

Do I need a Blockbuster in-store membership to purchase titles?

I'm new to Blockbuster, so sorry for sounding like an idiot.

So, this sale started on the 20th - did anyone visit their Blockbuster to see if there was anything good (even if it is just DVDs not BluRays)?

I ...haven't. But I might.

I'm curious about whether the 99 cent DVDs are anything interesting. Any tv series?

Ok, I went today, and despite the ad saying the sale starts on the 20th, nothing was on sale - there certainly weren't any 99 cent movies. Maybe some locations opt out.

Thanks for the info. I was debating whether to make a trip to one.

I went yesterday and they told me the 99cent dvds special doesn't start till black Friday even though I showed them that it stated the 20th on the ad.

Ok, Black Friday Blockbuster report:

That was hilarious. A single cardboard standee shaped like a tube, with a 99 cent sign, and inside were a bunch of Nicolas Cage Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call DVDs.

Throw some confetti someone, it's Black Friday!

There was also Sex and City 2, and a few unknown, unheard-of films, none memorable (not that you'd recognize the names even if I'd written them down).
