LOL that makes me sad after recently getting them each for quite a bit more than that. Good deal for anyone who doesn't already have the set.

Thanks for sharing! Just ordered the last season, which I was still missing. Certainly the best price I've seen for this

I was at the Mall of America store yesterday, which BTW, still has many rows of Blu-rays and DVDs. I saw films I haven't see in stores in years. It was awesome. Anyway, big sale on TV and DVD on Blu-ray. Titles 9.99 and up you get a free coupon code for $5 off future movie or TV title purchase.

I bought Veronica Mars all 3 seasons for $30 and got half that back in coupons! Now I'm going to wait for the ad for next week to see what the store's price o the movie is in DVD and Blu-ray. I need both for the sake of friends. First time in a while I really could have used a combo pack lol. Right now my Amazon pre-order is $15 for Blu and $10 for DVD. If Best Buy has those prices, or even only a dollar or two more, I will just use my coupons in store on them.

Were you able to buy the three seasons in one transaction or did you buy each season separately? I'm curious if they're limiting the coupons to one per transaction or one per email address.

Pardon the n00b question, but what is a "stack pack" and is it better or worse than a typical(?) non "stack pack" version?

Great deal! Posted about it on Facebook to let people know. Said it was well-worth a blind buy.

Worse. The discs are stacked directly on top of each other.

Makes sense - thanks! I totally ended up with a stack-pack edition, but on the bright side, Best Buy shipping was blazingly fast (~3 days). Overall going to call this one a win

Do they even make non-"stack packs" anymore? I bought my season sets years ago, so I have the nice packaging.

Well it was complicated. You do get a code on your receipt for each code, but they had to copy/paste my email address for each item they rang up.

I wonder if the coupon promo would still apply even though the seasons are temporarily below $9.99.

I'm wondering the same thing.

I've never seen this series but have heard about it.

Amazon's price is only $11.99 so $7.99 is not a huge discount, but $4 off and a $5 off coupon would make enough of a difference. Of course if I blind buy this series (I guess it's only 3 seasons?) from BB, on the 46th day (i.e. return limit for me is 45 days) I expect the BD set will be announced for not much more.

I hadn't heard about this $5 off $10 TV series coupon until now which would help push me off the fence in buying this. Before the $7.99 Deal of the Day ends, I'd like to know if it's possible to get 3 $5 off $10 coupons and how to do it. For instance, is the $5 coupon deal online or in-store only, is it 1 per order so you need to place a separate order for each season of Veronica Mars, and as Evil asked do you get the coupons even if they are $7.99 each or do you have to buy 2 @ $7.99 each on 1 receipt to get 1 coupon?

I can confirm the prompt for the $5 coupon still pops up. Grabbed Season 2 and 3 ( I have Season 1) and got coupons for both.

Thanks, that's what I was waiting to hear.

I'll go and try to pick these up today for $7.99 plus the $5 coupons.

Unfortunately this info came too little too late. All stores in my area are OOS of S3, only 1 distant store (30 miles away) has S1, and only 2 semi-distant stores (about 11 miles away) have S2. The gas costs would far outweigh $5 x 2 for those 2 seasons.

Hopefully you'll have better luck at your stores than I would have at mine. I'm wondering if I had known about this first thing in the morning if the inventory would've been any better. I'm guessing (knowing how BB and B&M stores in general enjoy having sucky microscopic inventory of any good deals) that my nearest store (5 miles away) probably didn't have either S1 or S2 when they opened.

So I guess I miss out on this thanks to BB's joke of an inventory. Oh well. It's hard to pay $7.99 x 2 online when people could get them for $7.99 - $5 coupon = $2.99 in store.

I can confirm that the VM DVDs are still eligible for the $5 coupons even though they are on sale for $7.99 today. I bought all 3 and got coupons for each. I did this in 3 separate transactions even though it sounds like it would've also worked in a single transaction.

Part of the reason why I did it in separate transactions (and this whole plan didn't work BTW) was because I was hoping to piggy back the purchases and coupons by buying one season and the using that coupon to help fund the purchase of the next one so that I would've spent $7.99 on the first, then $2.99 on each of the next two, and also ended up with one extra $5 coupon at the end.

I hadn't read the details about this promo too carefully before heading out because I was in such a rush to go and pick these up and get back before dinner so I didn't catch the part that not only did the qualifying purchase have to be $9.99 or more to get the coupon, but the eligible item you applied the coupon to also had to be $9.99 or more. Well since these are on sale for $7.99 I guess that made them ineligible.

Then I wondered if maybe if I just had a transaction total greater than $9.99 that maybe it would take the coupon, so I went to the CS desk and asked if I could try and re-ring 2 of the sets to see if the coupon would work on that. It didn't so it looks like it has to be used on items that have individual prices of $9.99 or more. Actually the guy was very nice and just took $5 off my total anyway when the coupon didn't work.

So, I got all 3 seasons for $24-$5 discount = $19 pre-tax. Plus, I used $10 in certs, so paid $9 pre-tax oop and have 3 x$5 in coupons.

I'm thinking of using two of these on Nebraska (PMd to Target's $15) and then on Hobbit 2 3D next week when it drops to $20. Then I just have to figure out what to use the third one on. These expire on 6/21/14, so it'll have to be something before then.
