Someone really needs to do something about Portman's accents though.

Jackie, Vox Lux, and this one. It's hard to listen to.

Looks pretty brilliant, weve been spoiled with Austronaut movies as of late, so I hope its not buried.

Have you ever actually heard Jackie speak from that era?

Thought the trailer was put together in a bizarre way, but then again, it's probably a bizarre movie. Hopefully, the finished product will be more interesting.

Saw the trailer for this in front of Us. Probably one of the best trailers I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous.

Trailer did nothing for me.

But, I like the cast. So, I'll check it out.

Apparently after test screenings this is under-going re-shoots to make it more accessible to mainstream audiences. AKA it's probably great and they're going to make it shit. Rumor has it it will debut at Venice.

Dammit. Well, maybe there'll be a director's cut.

Disney’s doing. Searchlight movies never had to deal with this.

I’d be more wary about these reshoots if Noah Hawley was a proven and established film director. But he’s not, so who knows? Maybe this will be a fine tuned version of what he originally had.

Portman is gonna kill it regardless.

IndieWire has interviewed Hawley. He clarifies rumors about the reshoot and talks about the release strategy:

Quote:
We did one day of additional photography to put a button on the movie, basically. It was just an ending sequence, which I think is very common — less common on movies of a certain budget, but endings are in some ways the most important part. In a movie like this, in the journey we were on, it needed an extra piece.
Quote:
The movie is locked. I’m mixing right now, and I’m doing the final finishing touches. The studio has their strategy that they’re building toward a release, and it’s Searchlight, so unlike Disney, which dates their movies three years in advance, they’re quite used to going out [to festivals]. And all those festivals that are in anticipation of fall are starting to look at movies now, so we’re going through that process to figure out the best strategy to release it.

Natalie is such a great actress, even just a 5-second shot of her thinking and then saying, "I'm fine" speaks volumes. So looking forward to this.

This will be the third installment of the unofficial trilogy in my mind named "Reality crumbles around Natalie Portman" including Black Swan and Annihilation...

I can't wait to see this film!!!!!
