I'm thinking of purchasing the China beach set. I hope it's good.

I haven't bought the Six Million Dollar Man set yet and this $100 price is very tempting. You can buy the individual releases for seasons 1-5 but there are a slew of extras that are exclusive to the complete series set; including (as far as I can tell) the three reunion movies that were made.

Thanks again for posting about the 6MDM, I ordered it last night -- too good a price to pass up. I've held off on buying the individual season sets because of everything else the Collector's set offered (the reunion movies in particular).

If you don't want all the swag and just the series, check-out Amazon.com. They have the single season sets for $63.79 total and free shipping for purchase over $35.

Thanks for the link OP. I've had the first season of the Ghostbusters for a while but never seem to run across the others. Having them all in a box set is pretty sweet but I still wasn't going to pull the trigger, just can't swing an extra $100 right now.

But they offer installment billing so it's 5 payments of $20 instead of $100 right now. For some reason, that makes it more palatable and I went ahead and did it.

Wish Amazon and some of these other places did that sort of thing on higher priced items. Or do they?

I went with the installment on China Beach, which has been a long time want. Not only was it more palatable, but I actually couldn't have afforded it back in May, and didn't want to take the chance that it might sell out.

The only thing that I was surprised by was that it seems to charge you every 4 weeks rather than once a month, so that I was first billed May 14th, then June 11th, then it will be July 8-9, etc.

I'm sure that Amazon doesn't, I don't know about anywhere else that might?

The Six Million Dollar Man set also has the installment charge option, 6 payments I think it was. Definitely a great option for these sets normal prices, but especially handy at their reduced prices when you're looking at a charge that amounts to a single blu-ray a month.

I've only seen home shopping channels offer the installment payment/charge option for people nowadays, I guess most business figure people will just charge something and break the payment up themselves. (Except for some T.V. infomercial products of course) Although the last time I recall seeing much in the way of home video on the home shopping networks was when VHS was still big.

The Six Million Dollar Man set had been on my wish list for a while now and I personally thought it was out of print Since it's obviously not out of print and with it being offered to pay in six installments, I couldn't pass on it. Super excited about this set as I loved Lee Majors growing up watching this show and the Fall Guy!

Got my Six Million Dollar Man set earlier this week but the corner of the box was banged up. Time-Life is sending me a replacement.

The Hollywood show at the end of July has Lindsey Wagner, Richard Anderson & Allan Oppenheimer ... hope they are working on getting Lee Majors... Would be cool to get the box signed...

With the discounting of these sets (Ghostbusters is now sold out by the way), I'm thinking it inevitable that one day the same will happen with The Wonder Years set which I'd probably be in for.
