Weird bundle... I wonder why those 4? Strangely enough, I only have one of them (Peladon) so it's almost worth it to buy for the three I don't have and then flip the duplicate one elsewhere.

I've only purchased a few of the old DW stories on DVD (too expensive!), but this was a deal I couldn't pass by.

They were released between 2010-2013, but the episodes themselves are from the 60s/70s.

Classic Who is never cheap. I have most of them, but have maybe a dozen or so that I haven't yet bought... not counting their re-releases of "special editions" that I don't have as I bought the other versions prior to those releases.

But... even used, it is rare to get them for $10... so 4 for $30 is a good deal... even 3 for $30 (in my case since I own one already) is good but gets better if I flipped the one I already have.

Tempted and thinking.

This bundle is such a great deal for Classic Doctor Who, but I don't know if I can justify buying it right now...

Price is the thing that's really prevented me from picking up Classic Doctor Who as quickly as I have wanted. In December B&N always has a BBC/British Television 50% sale (they've called it both, but British T.V. sale is the accurate description) so I've been able to get several of the sets for a great price.

On the plus side, the Classic Doctor Who releases are packed with extras. far more comparatively than is included on other television shows.

I meant "new & unopened" new. Not "new show" new. I've been a fan of the show since the 1980s (not that you'd need to know that. Just saying.)

LOL, sorry...

Yes, they are (advertised as) new.

Being an Amazon promoted deal (forgot to mention that in the OP), you're safe.

Default Doctor Who Bundles

Has Amazon ever run bundle sales on Classic Who titles before this? I would hate to think I've missed previous promotions. At any rate, this is wonderful for those of us trying to piece this collection together at a reasonable price. I've been stuck at 64 stories for a while, so this has been a godsend (only two duplicates from these two offerings). I don't want to see the Who titles become common and devalued, but I hope this packaging continues for several weeks. I've owned a comic/gaming/pop culture store for twenty-five years and I can move the duplicates in a heartbeat. May the good times roll!

Russ

Even though I've got all the DVDs, I continue to keep track of sales for friends. I am 99% sure that these past two bundles are the first of its kind for Classic Who.

I need the 3 classic episodes but don't really care for the Cybermen compilation (I already have them in different sets). What to do, what to do?

$27.99 is a rather good deal even 3 Classic Who titles. Remember that the Cybermen compilation does include the Fifth Doctor story Earthshock.

Hmmm, I missed the first medley. I didn't see this thread til now. I have to see if I own these or not. I don't need the compilation (or Earthshock), but perhaps I can sell that separately. I only need to clear 7 bucks for it to make my money back, IF I need the other 3 titles...
I used to get a bunch of Dr. Who titles from CH, but they don't carry them anymore. They just have one box set, and that's it. These are pretty cheap. I'll have to check my shelf when I get home. I have all of the Dr. Who's in number order on my shelf...

Just ordered the current bundle. I did not have The Moonbase or Silver Nemesis. I have Tomb of the Cyberman, but the first release, not the SE. That was enough for me to place the order... I hope they have more bundles in the future!

For the first deal, which I missed, I have 2 of the 4 titles. So I probably would have passed on it anyway... $30 for 2 new titles isn't that great.

I noticed that the 4 items in the bundle each have a different price on my invoice. In fact, 3 of the titles shipped in one box, and one shipped separately. I wonder if one could return an individual title, but keep the rest. This would be helpful for those who already own 1-2 titles in the bundle...

I bet you could. Looking at my orders, it does give you the option to return an individual item, but then you're paying for the shipping.

You be much better off trading it, or selling it for more for it's regular, non-bundled price.
