TCM is a pretty short film but there's no guarantee it'll have a high bitrate. We won't know until someone has the disc.

Its been delayed again according to Turbine Media Group's FB page. Something to do with a issue selecting the Soundtracks on the Panasonic Players.... Guess we will have to wait a little longer for this bad boy!

Yeah on this one i'd be happy with mono..... Instead of the 15 different soundtracks they apparently have on it......

Just got an email my TCM 4K UHD blu ray shipped today from Amazon Germany. Been looking forward to this one! It will take a few weeks to get to Texas.

No, it's not delayed. The discs have already been pressed so no reason to delay the release.

The Panasonic player can only select the first 5 audio tracks - which are all German. The Samsung player has no problems with the disc. Also a beta version of PowerDVD (not publicly available) plays the disc fine.
According to Turbine a retail disc has already arived at Panasonic in Japan and they are looking into the issue.

A thousand humble apologies.... In my defence - Facebook translation of the German wasn't the best... I should have known better when the first bit was translated as "Love you guys, And the last bit was Farewell and Many Greetings......
I will still be holding off on buying till they fix it for the Panasonic though....

What player you going to be running it on? Panasonic or Samsung? I know there are issues with the Panasonic playing the audio, wondered if you'd had chance to see if its OK on yours?

Standard blu ray is on a 50GB disc. The UHD blu ray will be a 66GB disc (66GB is the norm for now). Supposedly they are putting Batman v Superman and Watchmen on a 100GB disc for the UHD disc.

@montyb You didn't get my point at all.
The disc is reported as BD66 with 62 GiB (byte for byte exactly the same size as Life of Pi), but the insides of the disc are actually only BD50 size. So something is fishy. Where are the invisible 16 GiB?

Is it something to do with it missing the English audio tracks somehow, like the Panny player is doing? Atmos plus Auro plus DTS-HD 7.1 won't add up to 16GB I guess, but that's a good few GB's worth of audio nonetheless.

Could the Auro 13.1 use the DTS-HD 7.1 soundtrack?

Auro 3D is basically a matrix format. The 11.1 soundtrack is downmixed to DTS-HD 5.1
I believe 13.1 requires DTS-HD 7.1

Seems unlikely, simply because the PC drive doesn't care what's on there. As per BD ROM spec all video + audio files must be unter BDMV/Stream/.
