I think they were £8.99 before, we were paying £6 each for 5 (for £30) and £6.67 for 3 in the 3 for £20. So 2 for £13 is a small saving.

That's interesting. I certainly don't mind paying an extra quid if it means only having to get 2 titles at a time (5 at a time was annoying sometimes). Is that in both HMV and Fopp?

I usually only bought 3 titles (for £20) so having a 2 for £13 is a little better for me personally. I often got a 3rd item for the sake of having 3.

I used to live in Manchester up until 1998 and worked in a camera store in the city centre during the late 80's - my first job when I left college. There's certainly been a few changes over the years.

2 for £13 isn't so bad. It's 50p more per title compared to the 5 for £30, but you don't have to spend as much nor struggle to pick as many titles this way. It's also slightly cheaper than the 3 for £20 also. It may end up being more successful for them.

Fopp still has everything priced at £6 a pop, though, so it represents the best value for money if you donít feel like buying 5 BDs in a row.

Manchester is the worst place in the World to go to gigs

Go to a metal gig and everyone is wearing shirts from the last big metal gig.

Mind, I do like the Apollo
