$132 instead of $35.
Even though Americans will have the VAT removed, the shipping will probably equal that.
After shipping to the US and without VAT, the UK release is currently $118.90. That is a whole lot more to pay for an uncut two-part episode.

I'm curious to see if there'll be anything different about the German release:

Uncut two-part. They didn't fix "Trilogy".

I didn't realize the price when I brought it up, because I haven't actually shopped for it. Obviously, this is NOT the time to buy it.

I can give you that info:

Comparison with mill creek us set.

Pros on the german bd set:
- uncut feature length lee harvey oswald episode
- all the dvd bonus material

Cons:
- encoding is 1080i with 25fps speed
- pilot episode is only available cropped to 16:9

So all in all not interesting for customers outside germany.
They did the 25fps speed because otherwise the german dub would have the wrong pitch cause that was recorded with 25fps material back then like most tv shows. Of course the better way would have been to just correct the pitch and not change the speed of the episodes.
Guess they were afraid it could hurt the audio track if they correct the pitch.

For people that are used to the german dub like me its ok and no big deal at all. I watch the show in german since i was a kid back then. Lots of nostalgia.

Interesting is that universal send them a cropped version of the pilot. Not sure why.

Just a reminder that the UK set has way more discs and bitrate and the Lee Harvey Oswald episode uncut so it is ultimately the best set to choose.
