Hey guys,

I was able to snag a copy of the FSK-18 DVD set, and I have a question for those who have the BD set. Is the audio LPCM 2.0 at 48kHz, 16-bit, or is it another form of 2.0 audio? Because I just sampled DVD 3 (the FSK-18 DVD) in the set, and it has LPCM 2.0 48/16 audio. I'm not surprised by this, but if the Blu-ray audio is exactly the same, then there is literally no reason to upgrade to the BD set (other than to perhaps get the last three videos in true 1080 resolution).

Hi McCrutchy Did you get an answer elsewhere? I'm super curious as I inclined to buy the uncensored DVD but will have to go to extreme lengths to obtain a copy it because of the ridiculous German regulations, but I'd might settle for the censored Blu-Ray if the audio is superior like DTS HD Master Audio or similar and perhaps mastered with slightly less use of brick wall compression ;-)

Hi MovieViking,

I did pick up the Blu-ray and if I recall correctly, the audio for the music videos is actually DTS-HD MA 2.0 at 96/24, so it should be a good upgrade over the DVD. However, I haven't watched my copy in years, so I'm not 100% certain.

Hope this helps.

There's a UK BFI DVD box set that is a history of British music videos. The image and sound quality on that set is fantastic. If you're interested in rock videos, that's the best set out there.
