To me, the choice is clear. Yuji Ohno any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
The blu-ray release uses the opening professorwho posted, not that Italian rap one.

The rest of the soundtrack is still missing that Ohno touch.

So how did this released turned out? How are the subtitles? Are they yellow or white?

I’m not supporting this garbage. Discotek wet the bed on this one when they changed the score of the English dub! This is clearly a backhanded attempt to squeeze out more money from stupid people! Nobody outside of TPCi and 4Licensing changes the music in anime anymore for American releases. SHAME ON YOU DISCOTEK! SHAME,

The dub was produced by TMS, not Discotek. Discotek is not to blame.

Do some research before b*tching about it first you incompetent peasant.

Yes, itís rather harsh, but seeing as this has been elaborated on before by many different people in the past, and by the UK distributor, Anime Limited, you have nobody to blame for it knowing but yourself.

Picture quality is on par with the Japanese release (JP was 9x BD-25; Discotek is 2x BD-50 because the compressionist knows what he's doing) which is to say pretty much flawless ignoring the often atrocious banding which was baked into the master.

And as said, yeah- yellow subs.

How does the UK compare to the US Japanese one? Did you ever do a comparison? .

Obviously the original score is superior, but I gotta say...I don't mind the Dub soundtrack at all. Maybe my expectations were lowered a bunch after reading complaints online, but I liked it. Really jazzy and smooth, fittingly sounds like some slick European heist film from the 60's or 70's.

Youíd better mind it, itís a travesty and an insult. Itís a regression of the industry by 20 years. Need I remind you only 4Kids and TPCi bother with this anymore? Itís sounds like garbage. It sounds nothing like a Lupin score. They should be ASHAMED to have pulled this s***. If you actually care about Lupin at all, boycott all future releases until they give us a dub with the correct score.

Not gonna happen. English and Japanese versions are too different. Have a complaint, take it up with TMS Entertainment. Added to Ignore List.

You're a third rate peasant if you haven't considered us explaining how you're wrong, and wanting to correct you falsely blaming a company doing the best they can in this situation.

Easy mate. Just can't bring myself to hate the dub score simply for the sake of it being different *shrug* at least not enough to dampen my enjoyment of the series dubbed. Totally get why it's a deal breaker for others, but that's a subjective thing. Not sure what to tell ya.

Obviously I'd much rather they leave the music alone, but that decision was a done deal by the time the blu-ray was released and had nothing to do with Discotek.

Also, as far as I know, it was a unique situation with Part IV that resulted in dual soundtracks. Someone correct me here if I'm wrong, but it shouldn't be an issue with Part V. I'd be a lot more worried if it was some blanket thing with the Lupin franchise.
