Definitely agree, was a great double feature. I originally thought Q might be paired with The Stuff.

My first time watching Q - what a goddamned brilliant movie! Easily the MVP of the night for me - not that Society is a slouch, but I'm always down for a good ol' Monster movie.

Three minutes into the movie and we already have a decapitation and titties! Right out of the gate, we get blood, breasts AND a beast! And I love the flipped King Kong ending, where instead of a monster on a building knocking biplanes out of the sky we get men with guns attacking a monster circling the building. Nicely done, Larry!

First time seeing both movies. Q, the Winged Serpent was mostly entertaining but man was it hard to watch at times because of Michael Moriarty. That may be the biggest scenery-chewing performance I've ever seen in a movie that didn't really call for one. Haha! But I've always found him to be a very oddball actor. The special effects were bad but still charming. I loved how
[Show spoiler]Richard Roundtree gets killed almost like afterthought!
And I'm still not sure who the priest was or
[Show spoiler]just how he knew where Moriarty lived and that he was responsible for leading the police to the nest.

Society was just okay. Movies like this work best when the film really creates the sense of paranoia to the degree that even the audience isn't sure what's real or what's not, like Rosemary's Baby. But I thought this one tipped its hand a little too early, when it should have keep the paranoia going all the way up to the end. I did like Billy Warlock, though.

So rather middling movies this week but Joe Bob's commentary was great as usual and hilarious, with some of the best bits being ones I probably can't repeat here.

I love both films from this week. Society is so out there I can’t help but not love it.

And Q, The Winged Serpent starring Bill Burr, I mean Michael Moriarty, only gets better each time I see it and especially thanks to Joe Bob’s commentary on how quickly it was made.

Had never seen either movie but enjoyed this double feature a lot more than last week's.

I wasn't really feeling Deathgasm for awhile, finding the humor that "quirky" humor that's kinda funny but kinda not, being more awkward than anything else. But once the demons showed up and things started going to hell, it got a lot more enjoyable. Reminded me of Evil Dead.

The Changeling was excellent. Spooky atmosphere, compelling mystery and of course George C. Scott was terrific. Some scenes really gave me the goosebumps and creeped me out.

Joe Bob's opening Tesla rant was hysterical.

This week was one where I had seen both movies - fairly recently, even. So it was the night that I could interact with the twitter crowd more than pay attention to the flicks.

But still, you could tell that The Changling was good as the twtter feed got very quiet as the night rolled on.

Deathgasm was much more up my alley than the Changeling. Heavy metal and gore. What's not to love?

Anyway, Joe Bob was great as always, which is the main reason I've always watched his shows.

Deathgasm started off a little slow for me, but then it kicked into overdrive and felt like a New Zealand Evil Dead spinoff. I really enjoyed this one. The Changeling was absolutely incredible. I always participate in the live tweets during the breaks, but during The Changeling, I found myself so wrapped up in the film and Joe Bob's commentary, that I hardly tweeted anything. By the looks of things, live tweeting in general died off during the film, presumably because others were very invested in the film and commentary as well. Darcy even did a roll call on Twitter to see who was still watching since the dialogue slowed down.

This was my first time watching both films. Loved them!

Oh my god, what a great evening last night. Both Madman and Wolf Guy were new watches for me. I've had Madman on my shelf for a while now, but I just never got around to seeing it somehow. It's not an all time classic of the slasher genre, but it was a very well done, well executed flick. As we've seen, it's SO easy to get an eighties slasher flick wrong, but Madman nails all the right notes, cheese and all.

Plus Gaylen Ross.

But Wolf Guy? Holy shit. Wolf Guy is the quintessential “Kung-Fu horror thriller mystery superhero werewolf hard-boiled yakuza psychedelic musical” movie I didn’t know I needed so ****in’ bad in my life! It's going on my Must Buy Now list!

Madman was the winner for me. Even though I just watched it recently before. I own the Vinegar Syndrome bluray. I like it better than The Burning, honestly.

Really wanted to like Madman, which I first heard of last year and discovered was on Shudder after we got it, but wow was it a major disappointment. Decent atmosphere and great score, and I like Gaylen Ross, but it committed the ultimate movie sin for me: it was boring as hell.

Had never heard of Wolf Guy before but I found it entertaining. Not great, and I wish they could have afforded at least one werewolf transformation. But the premise was intriguing and while some of it was goofy as hell (I about lost it where Wolf Guy takes out the whole gang with pocket change!), it did just enough to keep me entertained. Probably not something I'd buy but at least it saved the evening for me after the disappointment that was Madman.

Holy crap, House of the Devil sucked! Literally nothing happens for a whole hour, just talk and the girl walking around the house. Slow and boring.

That's the one where the
[Show spoiler] grand master plan of a satanic cult hinges on the heroine's whim of ordering a drug-laced pizza, in a ridiculous long game to ultimately incapacitate her? You know, instead of just knocking her ass out to begin with?

Yeah. All that long, boring build-up just for an underwhelming, predictable Rosemary's Baby payoff. What a waste of film.
