After hearing/seeing videos of how bad it was this year I am glad I did not go.
Well simply put, they made it too awesome with a lot of great idols showing up, but from the sounds of it, it had a negative effect of too many people wanting to see them and not to mention the stories of the lines for the whole convention where you couldn't even tell which line you were in.

Sort of glad my friends didn't want to see idols. Last year was a blast with Jam Project, T.M Revolution, and Eir Aoi and a few others.

I love idols of Anime and the people you mentioned, but don't love being in a building that you don't have space for yourself.

I really need JoJo, but I'm afraid Viz is going to mess up the encode just like they did with One Punch Man recently.

I just sort of assume Viz stuff isn't going to be the best but it is nice to have a replacement for that WB DVD.

I like it. Reminds me of the Amazon Bebop set.

That's awesome. Set looks good.

I really love what Viz has been doing the last few years. They are probably my favorite distributor on a per dollar spent basis. Nice hard boxes at attractive prices and they have several shows that are in my wheelhouse.

I got mine from AMZ. I couldn't pass on that $45 price since Viz like to charge $65 for Sailor Moon LE's lol.

Same here. The only time I buy anime from Amazon is if they have it for like $20 cheaper or something like that. This is a nice set, cant wait to get it.

I will probably order this set from Best Buy. I have $10 in rewards certificates right now and it is currently $52.99 on the Best Buy site. The last Anime that I bought from Amazon was their exclusive Cowboy Bebop set and I'm a fan of the clamshell design. So, I look forward to owning JoJo's Bizarre Adventure soon and seeing the limited edition clamshell design up close.

I almost pre-ordered this from Amazon last week, but I'm glad I waited for Best Buy to finally drop their price. I try to spread my business around to all of the online and brick & mortar retailers, which is why I wanted to buy JoJo from RightStuf. Their price is a little high at $62.99 right now though. I need to find out when they have sales so I can send some business their way.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will be my first Viz blu-ray, so I'm somewhat concerned about the Video & Audio quality. Was the One Punch Man release that bad? Would like to know what type of track record Viz has before ordering within the next few days.

Also, I tend to always watch films and tv shows in their original language with subtitles, if necessary. However, I go back in forth between the Dub and Sub with this show. The Dub is so over the top and hilarious in a good way to me. The Sub still retains some of the comedy, but seems more serious overall. Which one do you all prefer? I'm still quite new to this series and have never read the manga, so I'm wondering if the Dub or Sub is more true to the source material.

^^^ I haven't heard anything about OPM. The Sailor Moon ones are the ones that have been bad irrc as far as PQ.

I mean the colour difference is going to be there for sure, but that specific comparison doesn't seem to reveal anything else particularly major (I'm not seeing any nasty compression artifacts)? I mean if that's the worst JoJo has I'm going to be pretty pleased.
Last I saw from VIZ was comparisons of Gargantia and Sailor Moon Crystal and both of those suffered.
