The order I mentioned above was my first order from wowhd.ca. Didn't really think about it being ".ca" but I'm not going to get hit with duties or any extra costs for this am I? I see quite a few familiar people around here that have ordered from them so I assume there's no issues with the site being legit or anything.

I have ordered from them more than ten times and have never paid any extra costs or duties.

I'll join in here as well. I've made probably a dozen orders in the last year or so and have never had to pay customs either, however, I make an active point of keeping my orders to about $60 or less. If I need more than that I break it up into multiples... Just in case.

If it's your first order from WOWHD, prepare for a long wait. My orders generally take somewhere between 2 weeks to a month to arrive (often on the longer side). But it's a small price to pay for free shipping and no GST, when the deals are good.

Welp, that Criterion sale on WOWHD must've been a flash sale because all the prices have gone up $10 each.

Good thing I ordered when I did

Prices are low now ... maybe they're going up and down.

Weird...ordered for the first time from wowhd.ca. Does everything ship from the same location? I ordered 5 movies, they shipped 4 of them and then a day or two later shipped the 5th. The weird part is that the single 5th movie showed up but the others that were shipped first haven't. Should I be concerned?

As far as I know everything ships from the same place. It's coming from the US so the other package could have got stopped at the border. If it's still within the time frame they give you I wouldn't worry about it.

Everything ships from the same warehouse in Kentucky, and the exact situation you describe has happened to me previously. I've also had situations where the entire box of 5 movies will arrive in about a week, and sometimes it'll show up 6 weeks later. Without tracking numbers, it's a frustrating situation but nothing to worry about it, they all arrive eventually.

I take a little amount of solace knowing that import mail through CP often is held up due to sorting of value, size and weight. In the case of an order with one title, it could be treated as lettermail and passes quickly. Whereas larger orders require sorting by humans.

Usually delivery is within the 8 - 15 day window, but it can be more. When the CP strike was on last year, that delivery window was 8 weeks.

I wonder if Customs is still on the lookout for drugs in DVD style cases though...

Got my 2 wowhd orders this evening. Both were ~100 CAD a piece, no customs.

Usual cardboard mailers.

Got my Bogart and Bacall Collection yesterday, it went to my Flex PO box like I asked.
$8 per BD is not too shabby, I think I will watch Key Largo first.

A lot of Olive Films blu-rays are on sale right now, matching Deepdiscount's sale. Unfortunately, the Signature editions aren't part of the sale.

Weird Science - SteelBook (Arrow) is up for $40.57.

Really hope Arrow puts out a fantastic print of this one because the current blu is a travesty.
