Default Veronica Mars (Hulu Revival - 2019)

Quote:
Rob Thomasí cult favorite noir mystery drama Veronica Mars starring Kristen Bell is making another comeback, this time as an eight-episode limited series at Hulu.

I hear the streaming platform is finalizing deals for the new installment, with star Bell set to reprise her role as sleuth Veronica Mars. I hear there have been preliminary conversations about bringing back a number of the other cast members from the original series and followup movie.

Doing Veronica Mars is not going to interfere with Bellís duties as star of the NBC comedy series The Good Place.

As he has done with all things Veronica Mars-related, Thomas is said to be shepherding the project through Warner Horizon TV, the cable/streaming division of Warner Bros. TV, which produced the original series.

Holy f-ck... amazing news.

The movie was solid btw but the show obviously works better in episodic form.

Still just horrible that season 4 never happened when it should have... that trailer was awesome.

The movie erased any possibility of that. And Bell is too old to be an FBI trainee anyways.

Just a missed opportunity.

Season 4 was going to be Veronica at the FBI, I don't think that'd happen now.

If it happens, then great. Wish WAC would do 1-3 on BD now :P

Buffy revival without the OG cast will be hollow.

I don't know. On one hand I'm excited to see Kristen Bell reprise the role (and I admire her unwavering devotion), but on the other I feel like too much time has passed, and the movie provided sufficient closure already.

Will we be getting a more mature series? The books were certainly rated-R.

I hope so, doesn't Hulu generally do more mature content?

I didn't think the movie was bad, but I was a kickstarter backer as soon as it was announced so I might be biased. I am pumped for more Veronica Mars. Now, bring back Terriers for more SoCal detective goodness.

Depends on what it is I guess, The Mindy Project didn't suddenly get more mature, it more or less stayed the same. I don't mind being a little more grown up but I don't want them to change the whole tone and start having a bunch of sex scenes and cussing up a storm just "because we can now" or something.
