Well he was definitely right when he said it was one no one would see coming.

I'm definitely interested. Really enjoyed Ultimate Alliance 2 back on PS3. Character models do look a tad rough though.

How much Nintendo pay to get this as an exclusive? Very disappointed with that.

I don't have any future plans on purchasing a Switch. I absolutely loved UA 1 and 2 and was always wondering when/if a third was coming and it happens to become a console exclusive. So it's a little disappointing I'll probably never play it. I'll get over it. Lol

Nintendo is actually publishing the game.

Quote:
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The Nintendo Switch video game system is about to get a lot more heroic. MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order is heading exclusively to the Nintendo Switch system for Super Hero gaming action at home or on the go. The new game, which arrives nearly 10 years after the previous installment in the series, is being developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES/Team NINJA and published by Nintendo. Nintendo made the announcement with a trailer shown during The Game Awards in Los Angeles.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order brings together Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Marvel Universe to battle for the limitless power of the Infinity Gauntlet, one Stone at a time. This unprecedented team of characters must use their unique superpowers to defeat the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order. The game will feature an original story and a playable cast of dozens of Marvel Super Heroes, including the Avengers, the X-Men, and—for the first time in series history—the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The new game features the same kind of action-RPG gameplay that made the franchise such a hit over a decade ago. In MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, up to four players can drop in for co-op battles in a variety of ways: They can play online*, link up offline via local wireless or pass a Joy-Con controller to a friend to join the team. With another pair of Joy-Con (sold separately), four players can team up on one system. In addition to the series’ traditional perspective, the new entry will let players select a dynamic, zoomed-in heroic view, allowing for a more immersive play style for single-player or multiplayer when using multiple systems.

“As longtime fans of the franchise, we could not be prouder and more excited to bring back ULTIMATE ALLIANCE with its biggest game yet,” said Mike Jones, Vice President & Executive Producer, Marvel Games. “MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE is all about teaming up with your friends and creating your own ‘dream team’ of Super Heroes to go on adventures across the Marvel Universe, and Nintendo Switch is perfect for delivering on that promise of cooperative gameplay and shared experiences.”

“The MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE games have been beloved by fans for more than a decade, and this new installment on Nintendo Switch will deliver even more of the thrills and heroics that the franchise is known for,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Thanks to our partnership with Marvel, the fate of the Marvel Universe will literally be in the hands of Nintendo Switch players, whether they’re at home or on the go.”

Additional details about the game will be announced in the future.

Maybe someday. I get the whole exclusive thing but as a consumer it definitely has its cons of paying $300 to play one game.

I'm into just about anything for the most part. I don't play a lot of sports, racing, or fighting games.
I'd definitelty like to play Mario Odyssey because it's Mario. Besides handheld I've played almost every Mario game. The Switch is on my radar but it's just not really in the cards right now. I can't keep up with what I've got right now. Lol.

I loved the other Alliance games, playing this on the switch on the go sounds great.
Not sure how I feel about the look of the game yet...
Hopefully they will give us a crap ton of characters we can use.

Nintendo Switch exclusive... and they actually have X-Men characters in the game, when for a while Marvel was being stubborn about that, wanting mainly MCU characters/franchises in these kinds of games!

This is awesome, but it also feels like hell has frozen over!

I'm hoping there will be news of Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 coming to Switch shortly. I definitely did not see this one coming. I actually missed part of the trailer because I was getting my son something so it's good to see it all now.

More Switch exclusives for me to pick up. I’ll check it out at launch. I’m hoping the gameplay is great.

Will you also be disappointed when the Avengers game is formally announced and not on Switch? People are ignoring the fact that this is likely a Nintendo exclusive bc the Switch likely wont get Square-Enix''s Avengers game. The visuals on MUA3 look last gen with substandard production quality compared to the AAA games coming out today. That makes sense on the Switch as it likely wont be able to handle the Avengers game so Marvel worked out a deal to have something else to sell there

Well Disney will officially own Fox in the first half of 2019, so that’s why. With the movie rights to X-Men going back to Marvel, it makes sense Disney would want to give X-Men some exposure.
