We subscribe to Globo streaming online (Maybe called Globo TV+...or Globo Play? Seems like they keep changing the name) so my wife can watch her shows here in the states. But for the new season of Big Brother, they've blocked the stream for IP addresses outside of Brazil.
So while I was looking for a VPN service online to bypass the restrictions, I came across a reference to "Brazilian version of Netflix" on one of the big VPN provider's sites. A Google search for Netflix Brazil turns up results for a company talking about "Complete, updated list of all movies and TV shows currently available on Netflix Brazil", but there's no link to an official Netflix site as far as I can tell. So is there such a thing as Netflix Brazil where users can stream Brazilian movies and/or movies with Portuguese audio? Or is this just some random company trying to make a buck off the Netflix name? Are there any other good streaming sites for Brazilian shows and movies? |

Well, Brazil Netflix is found at https://www.netflix.com/?locale=pt-BR, and even tough having Brazilian content, Movies from Globo aren't found there because Globo hates Netflix...
Actually Globo block access even for who lives inside Brazil, their new app, Globo Play only works in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Even cities like Recife, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte that have local stations owned by Globo, aren't available there in that app. A way that I use to watch my programs is using an old version of the android app "Globo.TV" which doesn't have regional restrictions inside Brazil and allow access to local contents such the news shows SPTV, RJTV, MGTV, DFTV and NETV (Pernambuco). There is also the soap operas but without a paid subscription, only few scenes are available. If you have an android device, tell me an email that I can send that APK for you test there. Thiago |

However, none of the "Reality" shows such as BBB and the singing/talent shows would work until I switch to a Brazilian IP address. We didn't have this problem last year with BBB. BTW, are you familiar with something called "GloboSatPlay" or maybe "GNTPlay" or MultiShowPlay"? I'm not sure if they're all the same thing, or different things, but it seems like you have to already have a subscription to one of the Brazilian TV providers, and you can then log into the "Play" sites for free to stream shows from various networks and even watch live TV. I don't think there's a way for a non-TV subscriber to sign up for it. Too bad, since it has some shows my wife likes, such as "Superbonita". It also has "Downton Abbey", which I know my wife's mother would love to watch. I think it also has "220 Volts", which my wife would LOVE to be able to watch again. Maybe we could find a relative in Brazil that would let us use their login information. ![]() Thanks for all your help. You're such a great source of information!
