I really hope they take inspiration from the Rucka run for the next Wonder Woman movie. WW vs Medusa was epic.

WW1 is easily in my top 5, would have been top 3 if they did the villains better...still love it though.

Is this satire?

I mean, Gal Gadot's a decent enough leading lady, but there definitely are more talented and charismatic actresses than her (her attempt at comedy in Red Notice fell somewhat flat).

I do like her a lot as Wonder Woman, though.

You appear to struggle with reading comprehension.

I don’t see any mention by me about Gal Gadot being the “most” charismatic actress in the entire world. How exactly do you determine who is the most charismatic actress or actresses? Is science involved? Did she need to be the most charismatic actress in all of Hollywood to be a very good WW?

Just a few non-satirical questions for you.

I don't think she should never work again. But it seems like the people she had agreements with don't want to deal with her anymore.

Raimi pretty much was gone after Spider-Man 3. He directed that Wizard of Oz prequel and didn't do another film for nearly a decade (Doctor Strange 2) and even then he was brought on as a director for hire. I'm not sure why he stopped working as much.

The man is a living legend and should be directing more movies but instead he's now doing horror convention circuit with Robert Englund and Kane Hodder. Nothing wrong with that, just that he seems like a guy who could still be getting giant checks to direct movies.

Because of Sandman? Ya know, the whole Uncle Ben situation there really wasn't ruined because of Flint's involvement. Peter was still indirectly responsible for it because of his misused responsibility.

It's not like he was already using his "great power" with "great responsibility" by doing something like helping cure villains and then have his Aunt die Ben-style idiotically as a result of that........

Because there was too much nonsense in the movie. I realise Raimi hands were tied because Venom was forced on him.

Raimi probably wanted a break after his experience with Arad.

He's doing a remake of 1978's Magic, so hopefully this means he's back in the game.

He also kept busy with the AvED show for 3 seasons.

Raimi got fed up with the process on both Spider-Man 3 and Oz, and had Spider-Man 4 canceled after working on it for a couple of years.

He probably needed a break, and with Marvel Studios came the right paycheck, assurance that the movie would get made and relative security that it would be a success (which is important to keep working as a director).

Still, I wish he had returned with a movie on which he would have had more creative freedom (his brilliance shines through in Doctor Strange, but it's also held back by the usuale MCU tendencies - and the movie obviously suffeted from major reshoots and constant tinkering).

They were a couple of days away from starting to film. They had everyone cast, but Sony was screwing with Raimi like they were on SP3. He told them Sony that he couldn't make the movie that they wanted him to make. The movie was already going to be very expensive, Spider-Man 3 was the most expensive movie of all time at point, so Amy Pascal cancelled the movie and fast tracked the (cheaper) reboot.

It always felt more like Raimi was finally deciding it was time to walk and the studio just pulled the plug instead of finding another director.

Seems like a pretty common career trajectory for self made filmmakers who make it big. George Lucas didn’t end up making many movies. Peter Jackson hasn’t made anything his own in the last decade. Then there’s all the once big names who just plain can’t get American money for projects: John Carpenter, John Waters, David Lynch. They all fell off the map about the same time as Raimi.

Raimi is attached to direct the first movie based on the Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. But no casting has happened and since Rothfuss is pulling a George RR Martin when it comes to finishing the third and supposedly final book in the series, I suspect the project is on shaky ground at best.
