I won't purchase off eBay. One never knows what he is getting.

Here is where I have been purchasing

http://www.harmonyremoterepair.com/index.html

His name is Q. He has been refurbishing Harmony remotes for years and does one heck of a job plus he gives a 90 day warranty.

E-mail him. He has always gotten back to me in an extremely short time.

Never had a problem eBay, plus dealing with paypal It's not hard to get a refund If needed.

as long as your not buying used from a person. There are ebay stores that offer brand new items with factory warranties as well as refurbished items with warranties as well. Some sellers even offer returns. I've scored some pricey items off of eBay with no issues. Seller ratings go along way also. For a 10.00 1300mah battery for a remote, you really can't go wrong with eBay.

I agree with the battery. That is where I get mine. But it is hard to beat a small remote business that actually goes through and tests each remote that is sold. If there is a problem found with the remote, that part is replaced with a new part and guaranteed.

Nice

What I liked about the Ultimate over the 1100 was how fast the IR worked. The 1100's IR was so slow that I could push a button and count to 2 before any thing happened. I ended up tearing the IR system out and throwing it away. A $99 test and waist. The Ultimate's IR response was virtually instant. If I had the Ultimate, the IR system would be welcomed.

This will work with a closed cabinet system?

Well thats good to know, I was going to purchase an
ir repeater from monoprice since I have a closed cabinet housing all my equipment ( its not much lol). What I didn't like is that the IR repeater had to have the small sensors in front of all sources IR eye. I just got the 650 with no intent of purchasing the another remote but I might have to move the 650 to the bed room and get that bad boy.

Yes, I hated the IR stuck to the IR eye. I still have glue where they were stuck to the eye on the equipment

The Ultimate has what is called a "Blaster. One Blaster sits on one side of the cabinet and can control 2-3 pieces of equipment.

Works fantastic

I don't like the new harmony's. The buttons are in the wrong spots. They only made minor changes for years and they were all great. I have the Harmony 900RF and it's just about perfect. The touchscreen part is a mixed bag though. If I drop the remote into a couch cushion, when I go in after it I start pressing buttons.

Whats worse is the 900 RF is starting to act up and repacements are rather pricey.

The most commonly used buttons: play/pause/ff/fw on the new remotes are in such a dumb spot.

I'm using hue, but not to much with my Logitech because it lags and I don't like the light groups set up. Its quicker for me to use a Hue app on tablet or phone.

What is a good remote replacement for the 520? I bought the 350 last year I think but its really annoying me especially I can't access everything the 520 allowed me to do on some devices such as my JVC DVHS VCR. I can't set the clock or do any other changes.

Isn't the 520 a higher end model than the 350? If so, then why gripe that the 350 can't do as much?

I thought it would access everything the 520 would but then I'm pretty ignorant about these remotes. Also desperate times call for desperate measures so while the 350 is fine for a short time which this hopefully will be if I can figure out what exactly I should buy and preferably new. The 520 was used off of Amazon lasted a good while but all it does now is nothing it won't allow me to do anything whichever button I press so I ran across the 350 in Walmart and the rest was history as they say.
