My wife sent me these while I was at work.
Keep in mind these were taken with a cheap cell phone camera, and they are from an old DVD-not bluray- from the 80s! And my wife is a lousy photographer too

I'll be getting the OLED65B6P soon and I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light for me. I'm wondering if this TV (or any of LG's OLEDs, really) support the auto 24p picture mode. For example, my Sony TV will automatically switch to cinema mode when I start a BD in PS4 and will automatically switch back to game mode when the BD is stopped. Fantastic feature. I've been out of the new TV game for a while and didn't know if that was just a Sony thing or not.

In game mode the OLED is 34ms. My Sony is 24ms so I think it'll be alright. I never play online either.

It has been reported the the B6 has higher input lag compared to the other OLED models.

Yes. If you don't game then it doesn't matter.

Also, the TV must be in game picture setting with trumotion disabled in order to get the lowest input lag.

Yes, it supports it. LG calls it real cinema. You need to turn it on in the menus. However, you cannot use real cinema with Trumotion. It's one or the other. Trumotion gives you additional control over blur and judder. You can increase the motion resolution and increase/decrease judder. Most people prefer using trumotion over real cinema. You'll need to try it yourself and see what you like best.

I cpuld not sacrifice being able to adjust TruMotion (de-judder/de-blur) for Real Cinema. Also, I think in ISF mode Real Cinema is grayed out (unavailable)

Real Cinema is grayed out in any mode if you have trumotion on. I believe you also need a 24f signal for it to be selectable.

I tried both. I ended up using trumotion with dejudder set at 2 and deblur at 10.

I see an artifact every once in a while with dejudder at 2. I'd say about once an hour. Setting dejudder at 1 was a little too choppy and very similar to the real cinema setting. The judder is very noticeable with high contrast scenes such as a light colored object against a dark background.

From my understanding, there are no negatives to using deblur at max, only positives.

This is a very controversial topic now, and one which has caused me to unwillingly get into useless debates with other videophiles...Ever watched the Hobbit in 48fps when it first came out?
Anyway, I feel that with LG Oleds TruMotion off ruins my viewing experience, especially when watching sports or any fast-paced action-packed content. TruMotion is not perfect by a long shot, but I personally could not do without it. I have mine set at 10 de-judder and 5-de-blur for 2D viering, and 10 and 10 for 3D (Interestingly, the artifacts that come along with TruMotion on high levels are not very noticeable in 3D mode)

My mistake. I meant 2 for Dejudder not 10. I use 10 for Deblur. I also meant there isn't any negatives for using 10 for deblur, at least according to pro reviews.

I knew it did all that, but I was wondering if the TV could automatically switch back and forth between game and cinema mode when it detects the start/stop of a BD like my Sony does.

It depends if you use Trumotion or not. If you do, then Trumotion is engaged all the time regardless of the source signal. If you have it off and have real cinema on, then that will only engage when a 24f signal is detected.

Note that this is separate from the game mode picture preset which is best for input lag. If you are using the same input, you'll need to manually switch to the game mode preset and calibrate that separately from whatever preset you'll use for movies.

I would the 24fps mode either on or off on a Samsung bluray player affect the way TruMotion functions, if at all?

I believe it treats a 60fps signal differently than a 24fps. I don't know exactly how. I'm sure it has something to do with how many more/less frames it creates up to 120hz since that is the refresh rate of the panel. You can see a difference if you test. In fact, I turn off or turn down dejudder on 60fps sources.
