I used 5.00/pr black curtains from Wally World and placed them in all the hot spots (corners, back wall, etc...). They deadened the room pretty well and it looks decent for the money I spent.
I also tied them off about 2 feet from the bottom with a cord so they don't just sit flat against the wall - they're V-shaped now and add texture and character.
I also used a few NFL jerseys for decoration and damping - darker team colors to reduce light reflection.
Overall I have no complaints...
