I purchased the BD-F5900, it does the job well but I'm coming from an older player. I'm curious is stepping up to the BD-F7500 would be better in the picture quality department with it having a dual core processor. Anyone have one and care to comment?

I wouldn't quite agree they're horrible, but Oppo are an entirely different class of players. I went from Samsung to Oppo a few years ago and never looked back.

* Newbie Query - Heads Up!*
I am trying to figure a Home theatre system by Samsung for my place. I have a 40 inch LCD TV (Samsung Series 5) with a 1920 x 1080 res. I have a basic query : Will the following 3D Blu Ray players be compatible with my TV? My choices from Samsung 3D Blu rays: 1) HT-H5530HK 2) HT-ES455K 3) HT-F5500K 4) HT-F5550HK I have not much idea about A/V, so my apologies. Why specifically Blu Rays from the existing LED?? Lets say I am getting a good discount voucher for Samsung Home theatre systems ![]() Thanks in advance for your support! |

I have to say I have never been a fan of Samsung blu ray players. I have had them all from Panasonic, Sony, LG, Pioneer, and OPPO. Everyone I had still works today, but I have to say the Oppo is my favorite. If you are looking for the best up scale the Oppo is the way to go, but if you simply want to watch blus any blu Ray will do. 1080p is 1080p but up scaling is a different monster.
