Not really. The DS4's touchpad is MUCH smaller than the touchscreen of the Vita which is 1:1 with the game screen. Its also not nearly as sensitive. It would be choppy, inconsistent and a mess in most circumstances. Developers could go back in and patch that in to work but if they were going to do that, it would be simpler to just remove touch support and have everything mapped to the DS's standard buttons

Personally i've been seeing the Playstation TV compatible logo on the back cover of Vita games a lot lately. That's why this news caught me by surprise. I mean sure it wasn't the best selling thing mostly because most people don't even know how the thing works since Sony is treating the Vita like an abandoned child they have no intention of taking care of. But I kept seeing that logo on the back cover of Vita games and thought that maybe at least it was a successful device for Vita games in Japan.

Well, it seems there's a new homebrew that enables you to play all Vita games on the Vita TV, that alone makes me want one now.

It also enables a whole bunch of emulators to run on it too.

Yeap. I had mine hacked w 3.52 to Run emulators inside basically a psp bubble before henkaku. It worked good but was cumbersome to use vs henkaku. Plus it was a pain to hack vs w henkaku that is literally child's play.
Loving it w henkaku since It can support two players it's great since I have a ds4 and a ds3 controller for it dedicated to it. Here is my emulators on it. Changed the icons myself today. It's a super small emulator machine!

If you are getting one I recommend you buy new and update manually because used could be update to 3.61 which fixes the hack.

As far as official vita games bypassing the blacklist there are two hacks to make most games playable on the pstv.
