Hey everyone,
I've never really bothered with headphones for movies - I tend to use a 7.1 system but want something to use for later at night and wanted to see just what I need to get. I have a relatively old receiver (probably 6 years old). I believe it supports the early Blu Ray audio formats but not the more recent ones like Atmos. I have a variety of headphones and accessories (Sennheiser HD598, Beats Pro, FiiO E17 amp) but am open to other headphones and needed equipment. I'd like to get a natural surround sounding system -- I see a lot of stuff advertised as 7.1 audio but it seems to only work with a PC. This would be for use with Blu-Ray and Ultra-HD Blu-Ray discs.. To get more than basic audio, do I need a special receiver? Any headphones recommended? I'd like to get surround sound (or whatever is close to that) if possible |
