Hi all.. sorry if this sounds basic but I am still new to this technology. I have a lot of 3D bluray and want to upgrade my current 3D TV to a 4K 3D tv and i know they are rarer these days. I have a chance to get a Sony 55 inch 55X850B 3D 4K TV at a great price. I know it is a few years old.
1. Does this play current 4K blurays with my 4k Bluray player? 2. Will this play my 3d blurays? Please let me know if you are certain of the answers.. GREATLY appreciate it! |

Found this...
"Latest 4K TV Standards: The Sony XBR-X850B Series has the latest 4K standards including the HEVC (H.265) decoder. HEVC is the latest compression technology which allows streaming video and 4K video to fit in a much narrower bandwidth, allowing for higher framerates (up to 60fps). This will allow Netflix and other providers to give you 4K quality video using current systems. This model also has the latest HDMI 2.0 standard, which can also support the highest framerates in 4K. This will allow action movies, 4K camcorder video, and sports to operate at the higher 60fps for smoother image quality." https://www.smartreview.com/sony-xbr...d-smart-led-tv My understanding is the 2014 model uses passive 3D...which I like. Not sure about the later models. Last edited by Kenbar; 12-23-2018 at 06:46 PM. |
