Best Noise Cancelling Headphones for Movies? - Blu-ray Forum

Long story short: noisy neighbors next door disrupting my movies.

I'd just like something I could plug into my television so I can focus on the film at hand and not leaf blowers, lawn mowers or children constantly screaming outdoors (which will now get worse due to summer break). I've looked at some Bose, Sony and Sennheiser but, with all of the specifications, I'm confused as to which one would be best just so I can hear a movie better.

I used to have some nice noise cancelling headphones on my vizio tv.they were very nice.

Honestly it's hard to recommend anything unless you specify a little more.

What is your budget? $50? $100? $300?

Do you want to just not hear anything, or do you also want good quality audio? You can just get simple closed back headphones and turn the volume up.
Or, buy some earbuds, they will isolate audio like nobody's business. Shure SE-215k for $90 is excellent.
For headphones, I recommend never going for Beats. Bose is alright, I guess, but not for the price IMHO.
Sennheiser makes good headphones for the whatever price range they sell at.

Other decent brands include Sony, Audio Technica, or whatever you think sounds good for your ears.

I live in a condo, and want to enjoy theater quality sound without disrupting the neighbors.

I have a 4k tv and Oppo UHD player.

What is the best 7.1 over ear headphones? Budget is $500

Not a noise-canceling headphone, but Sennheiser HD 201 is great for blocking a lot of noise and it is light in weight.

Hello, I have the Sony WH-1000XM2 (Noise-Canceling headphones) and they sound excellent and the battery lasts a lot. I tried games and movies on my PS4. They cost $349.99, and they're worth it. Very satisfied with them.

I also wanted to check that I need to connect it to my Oled LG B7 that has no output for the Jack 3.5. Does anyone know a way (and what has worked) to be able to connect without losing quality?
