Married With Children all the way.

Besides Dan, I dislike the characters on Roseanne.

I don't know why I feel almost embarrassed to say this but I prefer Rosanne.

That's easy. Married With Children, of course!

It was a show that knew what it wanted to be whereas Roseanne had political motives behind it which just made it worse.. leave politics out of movies/shows or make it work with subtlety.

Married With Children all the way. The dark satire and the heightened performances are timeless, even though the series is clearly a product of the time when it was made.

Roseanne hasn't dated well and the drama within it from time to time, is too melodramatic for my taste. Many US sitcoms from the 80s and 90s drown themselves in sentimentality, when their characters face obstacles and grief. MASH handled these transitions much better than a series like Roseanne did.

Married With Children. I liked Roseanne when it was shown on Channel FOur back in the day but have never gone back to it. Married With Children I own the complete DVD set.
