I mean you have Cheers, Friends and on and on (some like Friends I think even charted super high on Billboards).
magnum pi, batman, hawaii five-o, mary tyler moore, the odd couple, xfiles, the greatest american hero, fame, happy days, misison impossible, I dream of genie, veronica mars, etc. (not sure if the wonder years counts since it's basically just playing a popular tune that already existed)

I believe the theme songs for Cheers and Friends are considered the most popular of all time.

Someone specified the '60s, but not the one that made a band which survived for about 50 years?!

I was not born until the '80s, but spent much of that decade forced to listen to Oldies radio, so I am a lifelong Monkeemaniac!
