Recently having played Watch Dogs 2, i just feel Ubisoft open world games are a bit generic and not great looking. By that i mean there's elements of "pretty" there and about, hut visually they're not great looking with flat textures, character models etc. in places for open world versions.

Far Cry 5 seems decent though so it's not all a crapshoot i guess.

Ubisoft games are very often rushed. Valhalla will barely hit the three year dev cycle mark on launch. With Covid, they should honestly have pushed it to 2021. I imagine if they gave the games as long a dev cycle as ghost of Tsushima, with a more focused team, instead of the "Here's 1000 people from four continents and five teams crapping it out in three years" approach, we would get significantly prettier titles. The annualization hurts in the long run.

After watching gameplay footage recently I canceled my pre-order. It looks so anti-Assassin's Creed now. The franchise ended for me with Odyssey.

I'm kind of like that myself; it's just the concept of a Viking Assassin. The technology of the Norsemen was primitive compared to even the Greek's in 100BC, the idea of looting and pillaging member of the brotherhood is a contradiction in my opinion. Just doesn't work.

Mine dropped through today. Which was surprising. However as I have a very energetic 5 year old, I’ve barely played it.

Good Filmic Start. No Spoilers. And the first part of the first map, which was VERY Assassins creed, the towns and settlements and loot. I’m sure it will change up later though.

I’m not crazy at all about the game, but can’t deny that $39.99 is tempting. It’s also appealing that it has the free upgrade.

I haven’t seen anything to make me say “oh hell yeah” after finishing everything possible in Odyssey including DLCs.

I watched a few comparison videos of PS5 vs. Xbox SX & both looked meh..alright at 4K. I think the character models (during dialogue) & combat sections (during raids) look too much like last gen Ubisoft.

It’s strength is probably in the Story. So I don’t think it’s all bad. However with Cyberpunk right around the corner, am thinking that’ll be a better 3rd party game experience on NG Systems.

Only about 4 hrs in & have been really enjoying it. I really like the Viking setting. Since Origins, Assassin’s Creed has really hooked me back in. I loved the series at first then around Black Flag I kind of started to tire of it to the point where I skipped Rogue, barely got through Unity & didn’t finish Syndicate. Origins with its Egypt setting & more RPG like mechanics got me back in, Odyssey & Valhalla continue the trend & I love the series again. Can’t wait to spend more time with this game.

I’ve been playing the game on Xbox one S. the frame rate it atrocious. How’s the PS4?

Legions was nearly unplayable for me. Didn’t finish the game though because I got bored with the main story after I cleared a lot of the map early.

Started playing yesterday and I must say that it really catched me. Think it´s a must-try for those who are into that Vikings vibe.

It didn´t show at first, but the skill tree is packed with some really nice stuff. And the landscapes are just amazing. However, they could have worked a bit more on the facial expressions of the characters... but that´s just a minor point. It´s one of the first games in a long time that really hooked me from the very first moments.

It´s my nephews birthday soon and I wanted to buy him the game. At the moment he has the right technical equipment, but not yet a good gaming chair. He´s 15 but not tall enough for the "adult chairs".

This thing is ugly, clearly rushed. I'm playing it on ps4 pro and the character models and textures are far below odyssey. Maaaan I wish sony allowed digital refunds, this sucks.

I absolutely loved Odyssey but I'm really disappointed in this one so far. I think the game itself is fun and has a lot of potential, but it is SO unpolished. Are all the versions as bad as this PS4 edition? It's like the game isn't even finished. So many glitches, audio cutouts, etc. All of the NPCs/bad guys are mindless and just walk into walls, shoot at nothing, etc. Even the graphics look like a downgrade from Odyssey...I was so excited to play this. *sigh*

I'm so frustrated with this game. Anyone else having trouble getting the game to save/fast travel since the update or know how to fix it?
